I have this cooler it’s awesome. Just FYI you’ll get better cooling by mounting the fans directly on the heat sink like it comes in the box. If you offset them to look flush with the chromax cover the pull fan doesn’t evacuate heat as fast.

Good advice 👍 It looks better when flush with the cover but it can be also flush with bottom part of the cover like 5mm down 👌

Always liked the chromax versions of Noctua coolers, glad they made one for the U12A 🙂 A lot of cooling power in a small package.

Great review vid , I have a doubt with space clearance between the D-15 and corsair LXP 16gb kit (non RGB ) ram in NZXT H510 , do you think it will fit in ? 🤔

LPX will fit, but one fan may be slightly more up than the other, just slightly

Black coolers from Noctua are amazing, fits any build theme, but the standard color scheme, I mean older brown ones, not so much. On the other hand quality is top notch 👍

How was the noise of the 360 aio at full load compared to the U12A? I currently have the U12A on my 12600k, and I'm mostly happy with it, but I would like a little bit more cooling for overclocking (currently I get around 94C during Cinebench). I'll be building a PC for my brother shortly, so I have the oportunity to use the U12A in his build and get a 360 aio for my setup (most likely the Corsair H150I Elite LCD, I read the fans on it are very competitive to the NF-A12x25, and I like the LCD).

360 was louder, but fans on the 360 are nowhere near the performance of the Noctua's fans. So I guess if 360 AIO was used with similar or same as Noctua fans it would have been quieter and cooler at the same time. But for OC I do recommend going with a 360 AIO 👍

@@LevelUPGamingTech Good to know! Since I have 3 nf-a12x25 case fans, I actually already thought about using them for the AIO, and then use the RGB fans from the AIO as case exhausts (in the Corsair 4000d).

under load the NH-D15 performs a little better but! this thing is so compact, looks cleaner and performs almost the same as its bigger brother.

Went with this over the 15 for a r7 5800x build about a month ago. I’m happy with it and will be using another for an upcoming i7 12700k build

You haven't made a mistake, actually you wouldn't have made it even with D15, it's just bigger...

@@LevelUPGamingTech case I went with was li lian mesh 2 and has plenty of room and was planning on getting the d15. Once I saw the uh12a and it coming with newer model fans in a smaller package I was sold. Not many videos with comparisons between the 12 and 15 or the 12 versus any coolers. Great content I gave a sub and like. Going to be using this cooler on another build for a friend and I just have to figure out if I’m going with a different case this time.

I purchased the same noctua cooler and i have two cpu fan header on my motherboard. Is it ok to use two fans on one header. Or better to go for sperate cpu fan header? Thank u

I noticed that when I shutdown the pc and restart. It turn on normally and pc boots. But if I shutdown the pc and also turn off the power from the socket outlet to pc. And then suppose after 5 minutes turn on the outlet power and then start the pc its like start and then immediately shutdown without going to ASUS black boot screen and restart normally and went to windows 11. is this behavior is normal?

Intel is known to do that, AMD too as it has memory training enabled, so when out of power for some time it will do this thing...

I would go with NH-U12A and go for Chromax version, better looking... Reason for NH-U12A is smaller footprint, same performance as NH-D15, much quieter...

That depends from board to board, but overall yes, about half a slot will be blocked by the heatsink

I swapped the fans out on my u12a using two corsair Ql120 rgb fans instead. Works great and looks fantastic.

The fans are the best feature of the cooler. Noctua fans are the best. Certainly better than corsairs garbage

@@LevelUPGamingTech I disagree if we are not limiting them to just performance. To be sure, Noctua fans are great performers. But if you dont need that, then looks come into play, and the Corsair QLs look fantastic! I have 11 of them in the case and the rgb synced up looks really cool.

Pea sized thermal paste is not actual- Chips with highest thermal generation are not always in the middle!
