I’m almost 80yo. When I was younger the only people that had tattoos were military guys, especially navy. They got em on shore leave. SST….Stewed, scr*****, and tattooed!

There's some sharp & tastefully done Tat's, just have to find a talented artist. But personally I'd be more concerned with the fact that the ink is a known carcinogenic. And many are overpriced for the size (at least in my area.)

Hi Meridith, I'm a Michigander that moved to FL over 25 years ago but before I retired I bought a lake house near Grand Rapids. So now I'm a snowbird and get to spend my winters in the sunshine state and the summers in the Great Lake State. GO Peninsulas!! I think it's the best of both worlds. I'm glad you had a nice time in TC and I love your channel, you are the sweetest person and thanks for sharing.

I purchased one of your bags for my wife for Christmas a couple of years ago. She still gets complaints about the bag. And she will not change it out because she loves it. On the liver. Have the butcher slice and run it through the cuber machine. Then fix it like cube steak,just don't over cook. It's really good that way. My mom figured that out.

I found out about the Southern Biscuit mix about a year ago. Follow the recipe on the bag to the letter and you'll have as good a biscuit as you'll find anywhere.

The Greek restaurants use organ meat in the Coney meat for hotdogs, you probably could get a recipe online someplace and use the liver and the tongue in the heart For Konomi for Coney Island hot dogs oh by the way I don’t think I could handle eating raw liver but that’s OK. Glad you came to Michigan. I live in Mount Morris Michigan, which is north of Flint.

Meredith, Loved your video. Michigan....woohoo! I'm from Marquette. Way up north, not far from Canada. They call us YOOPERS! Were about 268 miles northwest of Traverse City, MI. If you ever get to go back to Michigan check out Holland, MI the end of April through the end of May (peak time) for all kinds of Tulips, it's gorgeous. Or check out Mackinac Island (there's no driving vehicles on the island. Gorgeous area, park, water, history. Liver isn't for me, same goes with any organ meat. Enjoy! Those steaks looked delicious girl. So did the biscuits, and gravy. Where do you get that biscuit mix? What store?

Ya know, I remember watching as a kid, boss Hogg on the dukes of hazard used to eat raw liver with his eggs and I always thought that I would rather eat it like that than cooked lol 😬🤔 I didn’t realize how easy it was to make sausage gravy tho! I’m gonna have to try that now because you made everything look pretty dang easy lol.

Biscuits and gravy - so good. At one of the big regional 3 day car shows I attend, there used to be a group that served their version of biscuits and gravy for breakfast at one of the pavilions and it always hit the spot even in the dead of summer heat here in the northeast.

You should try tongue, it is hard to get here in western KY. It's taste ls the best flavor like roast beef. You just have to get over the look. Boil for a long time , peel off the hide, cut off the fat and slice 1/2. To 3/4" thick. I can taste it now😊

Oh that breakfast looked so yummy I wanted to invite myself over. I live in Michigan about 3 hours south of Traverse City. They have beautiful vineyards there and make wines, but cherries are the best! Our state has very beautiful resort communities along all the Great Lakes. Meridith, great to see you visiting the GREAT STATE OF MICHIGAN and the GREAT LAKE MICHIGAN, so you have to visit THE GREAT STATE OF WISCONSIN, on the west shore of LAKE MICHIGAN and you could visit the state fair and experience the tradition of cream puffs and in the fall the cranberry harvest, as WISCONSIN is the leading producer of cranberries . It looks like spring mud season is here.😊

You did pronounce Traverse City as a Michigander would pronounce it in the video. We Michiganders do not make a separate s sound in Traverse AND a separate C sound in City. Instead, we run them together. What is heard is not what one would read in looking at the words Traverse City. We probably pronounce it as on might read this word below. TraverCity is perhaps closest to the way we say this town name. We make only one s sound as we run Traverse and City together. Traverse City is one of many great vacation/resort towns in Michigan.
