Back on the Grid! Well, almost.. CVMA 2023-24 Round 3 Friday Practice

After nearly 8 months, I'm back on my 2013 Triumph Daytona 675R race bike at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway running clockwise ahead of the third round of the CVMA season! This is practice for the weekend's races, and my first race weekend since annihilating my collarbone in April during a crash. Here's to getting back in the saddle and chasing that first expert finish!

Hi chad,we speak about tuono v4 a lot of time,but finally i bougth one daytona 675 of 2016 and is a Insane machine i love it ❤.Nice back on track

Being interested in going from trackdays to racing and also being from socal I found your channel browsing around trying to decide which racing series to get into first (cvma or cra). From that I have binge watched every one of your videos over the last 3 years in the last 2 weeks super love your channel and that I finally caught up to catching videos as they come out. I love that you aren't just posting laps like all the other racers do, but you make vlog style videos. I did want to ask why you don't do voiceovers sometimes of your laps? like on your races you will add text to tell a story, but I feel like voicing over the race or even practice laps and qualifying would possibly add value. I'm thinking similar to the way 44teeth do (i think I saw you wearing one of their shirts in a video so I assume you've seen some of their stuff, maybe i'm way off though). Anyway - good luck with getting back into the swing of racing and hopefully next year you'll be watching my mock race :)

Hey Teddy! Thanks for your comment and for binging all my videos! 😄 Very happy to hear you’re finding them helpful. As for voiceovers, it has occurred to me but I’m a bit of an audiophile and prefer to hear the engine as opposed to my voice, but I haven’t actually tried it and would be willing to give it a shot in my next one. Appreciate the feedback, and I look forward to seeing your mock race 🙂✌️

Have you done any tune on the Daytona? I was looking at brentune and was curious of your thoughts. Cheers

The bike does have a tune but I have no idea what it is. When I bought it, the cat had been gutted and a Hindle slip on was installed. It feels great though, especially compared to my 2012 with the “Triumph Off Road” exhaust tune. Much healthier and more powerful everywhere!
