Great ride on the Tuono! Really appreciate your track etiquette- it makes a HUGE difference on how you are treated out there. Your headspace was super positive regardless of what others were doing around you, but some of that was being super friendly & space considerate when making a move. I wish that aggressive A & B riders would lighten up on tire warming, cool down laps & field markers from prior groups. It helps keep the newer riders focused on doing things right & in order, do they can improve skills & maybe even get a groove? Behavior noted & appreciated. (Yah, I'm a track 'noob' & easily scared by loud noises, not knowing what I'm doing, in a place I've never seen before...)

I always try to dial it back for track days, knowing not all that are in A Group have racing experience. That said, I do wish more track day orgs would pay closer attention to and track lap times to ensure everyone is riding with people around their skill level. Too many times have I seen someone end up in A Group because they've been riding for decades but run around a 2:10 or slower pace, which would be much better suited to B Group. Welcome to the track life by the way! 🙂

Been really fun seeing you get out on track just for a laugh on the tuono rather than in competitive racing. Hell of a lot cheaper too evidently ;) Makes me wanna take the tuono onto track! I actually did my first track day at streets of willow, love the technicality of it. Seattle should be fun, Pacific Raceway / Seattle internaional raceway looks like a phenomenal track with all the elevation. I moved recently too from LA. I miss the roads but everyone normalizes to their environment sooner or later!

Definitely cheaper and still a blast, but not quite the same 🙂 Seattle does seem to have some nice tracks. We’ll see if I have a chance to explore any! Have you yet?

Hey Chad! Coming from an east coast track day vlogger, love your content! Sub for sure! I had question, I am buying this exact bike in a few months for the new season (im in NY so we dont have amazing weather year round lol) and looking to trade in my Kawasaki z900, which I tracked this whole year. Do you think from a Z900 to an Aprilia Tuono V4 is a significant jump or, if anything, a "better" jump due to the track oriented features and such? Thank you! Keep up the amazing videos!

Hey Norris! Thanks for the sub and kind words! The Tuono could be a great step up from the Z900. The Factory trim is very well suited to the track. My bike is bone stock aside from the exhaust, Race ECU, a GP shift lever, and brake pedal toe peg. I've had the suspension set, and it rips! Do you plan to ride the bike on the street as well, or will it be dedicated to track duty?

Yea, I would say 70/30 with the track being 70% of where the Tuono will be living at most of the year lol I was hoping to get clip ons at least but I heard its not toooo necessary if you get the factory version. But if I get the base RR model, should I look into clip ons? Thank you again! 🙏

I want to tune my 2023 so bad, but scared because the warranty will be lost. How do you feel about losing the warranty?

I bought this bike out of warranty, so no concerns for me there! My bike also has April's race ECU flash, which as I understand it does not void the warranty. It doesn't really provide any gains though, just compensates fueling for exhausts with higher flow rates than stock. If you just want to tune so the bike will run well with an aftermarket exhaust, and don't want to void your warranty, I would look into that.
