Wow this is really my problem, I will try this next time in the gym and keep stretching my hamstrings. Great video not to much info before you start showing the exercises. Great!

I’m confused, what exactly is he doing with the ball? Is he using to roll? Or placing it along his hamstring, gradually re adjusting it closer to knee and checking for tightness? Does it help relive the tightness?

He mentioned earlier is that the hamstring is so tight that the brain basically won’t “turn it off”. He’s referring to how the muscle is chronically tight and won’t fully relax under normal stretching circumstances. So the ball adds external stimulus to weaker parts of the muscle that can be recognized through feeling “tenderness”. Those are the areas that we want to stimulate so the brain sends signals into that muscle to relax. So yes it loosens but that’s what’s going on as simply as I can put it 😊

Great video. Love what you an Matt do. I have apt an I figured that out from your videos an I have been managing it. But what should I do when I try to deadlift an my lower back always arches

if you didnt watch some videos on anterior pelvic tilt, same thing as i have you need to strenghten glutes hams and abs and stretch your quads and lower back
