I'm not suited to back squats because of my long femurs. But split squats and hacks serve me better, though.

so what are hip dominant squat variations? i thought that low bar is the ultimate hip hinge while still being a squat (except maybe unilateral work).

Definitely not true. Looks at athletes in a wheel chain in the Paralympic’s. Some of them have huge arms…

To put more emphasis on the quads especially for people with relative longer limbs than torso. As Joe says to make the squat more knee dominant

Good for more quad dominance and those with poor ankle mobility. That’s what I reference in the video when I say heel elevation
