We love what we call "opportunity" type hunts that don't require much more than a hunting license and a mule deer or elk tag and that's exactly what this hunt represents. A DIY experience where hard work and persistence end up being rewarded.

That a non resident can come into the state and be successful while the locals complain about how terrible Fish and Game is at managing wildlife! Also the fact that you took time to notice the sunset and surrounding mountains and it wasn’t all about the kill! That’s my favorite part!

@@waynewade6723 No hunter orange requirement in Idaho unless hunting Wildlife Management Areas for upland game. “Recommended” but not required!

Its the time you take to take in the hunt for what it is meant for rather than just the kill. Plus the still hunting and have a buck within range so you get on him for a kill. Don't see much of this anymore, mostly spot and stalk or calling in elk. Great job and it was an amazing video.

I love the hole thing , but one thing I loved is that you pulled to the side of the road to meet and talk to a fan and how real you guys are , I hope I can bump in to you guys at some point

Still a great pump gun even though it is mostly plastic, kzfaq.infoUgkxh4su9YgU1tWmjikirWcKJbjsFLEU62Bc but with care it will last a long time. It would be neat if Crosman would make a commemorative version of this with real wood stock, but of course it would weigh more and cost more, but hey, it would be cool. The included scope is more of a toy, but it does work for backyard plinking. I prefer to use pellets for greater accuracy, but BBs are just as good for plinking. This is not a Red Ryder folks; fully pumped it is 3 times the power of a Red Ryder and can be dangerous if not handled properly. Be safe out there.

Congrats Eric awesome double up. I love the laughter and smiles while packing the bull out. I’ve thought to myself many times with 100lbs of meat on my back why do I do this to myself? Like you said though while my body is able I’ll enjoy the suck and laugh about it. Btw nice work filming Brayden super steady and clear this hunt 👍.

The films don't ever seem long to me, probably because I get caught up in them, the scenery, the comradery, the hunt, and the story, love these films! And this one touched home for me because your in Idaho, I grew up there in the northern most tip, Priest Lake ID, spent my first 30 years there, hunting and fishing all over, some of the most beautiful country you'll ever see in my opinion! Live in TN now, and wish every day I was living back there, really miss the open country and mountains, and the access, you don't have that here, whitetail hunting is good here, if you own your own land or can get permission, which is easier said than done! And you can't just go hop in the truck, hit a dirt Rd and disappear for a couple of days in the mountains, miss that the most I think. Great hunt guys, keep em coming!!

Living in the south and getting older, it’s been Whitetail for most of my life. This is THE dream hunt my son and I have. This film was quite the motivation to take the next step and do it. Like you said, Eric, keep doing it as long as you physically can. Great job on the film and congratulations!

Excellent video guys. You put the work in to get the reward and nobody can take that away from you. I enjoy how you do everything you can to integrate the people watching with you during every step of the hunt. So Eric this makes 2 out of the past 3 and 2 to go and I look forward to being with you every step. The only negative for me is that you guys have got to be so big that you guys are now so busy that we never get to see the gang together anymore. I understand why, but I used to enjoy the Colorado Semi-live styles of videos. I am totally happy for you guys and I have been a fan since before HUSHIN when you guys were doing stuff on your own and now it feels the same way. I am just missing all of you guys together and all that goes with that, but don’t get me wrong. I am a fan till the end and I love watching each hunt and how truthful your videos truly are, because you show all of the successful hunts, like everyone else, but you also show the unsuccessful hunts which shows that what you guys do can be done by anyone and it attracts new hunters to the industry. Anyway, I love you guys and keep them vids coming.

Congrats Eric, two nice animals. It's great when the deer/elk seasons overlap. Our hunting grounds are similar. My group hunts deer for the last 5-6 days of the season, then 3 days off, move right into elk season. It's a good long 18 days of hunting. We're wall tent hunters so we have it pretty good. Great hunt...congrats.

Anybody else think they were "Spooning" up there when they sent the tent up for the elk hunt? LOL....looks like that tent was slanted on a side slope. Congrats on a double (Elk and Deer in one trip). The views and editing was great btw....

@@bigtinecritt LOL...figured ya might. I set up my Kifaru Sawtooth in the snow on a hillside, and damn if I didnt end up at the bottom every night. It was like a slip and slide on the tyvek and sleep pad. Nice job on capturing the content!! Great episode.

That pack out was brutal. Lots of steep side hilling and the creek bottom was not very friendly as well but we got it done.

@gethushin I ended up getting a pretty decent buck. We only had deer tags. Put eyes on a ton of elk so that was extra entertainment. Love spending time out there!

Man what a great hunt Eric! I love hunting in Idaho. It’s too bad that the non resident tag purchasing system is such a mess. I didn’t even bother to try for a 2023 tag.

@@gethushin I enjoy the authenticity and seeing the grind and all the effort that goes into these general type hunts. I think it is something most of us can really identify with and it really shows that every animal doesn't have to have a huge rack to be a real trophy. I think a lot of times these animals that you really work hard for even though they may not necessarily be your biggest mean the most to you.

U made a comment about the video being to long, i personally would much rather watch a video this long if not a lill longer than a hunting video that is a edited out and just lill bits and pieces of it are shown. HUSH videos give the entire experience and for a hunter like myself that hunting in the mountains like yall get to do is a dream/ bucket list, it sometimes feels like im there. Plz keep em long and very lill cut out brother. Keep on being u!!!

@@gethushin No we were driving out in the dark I recognized the trailer would of loved to meet you guys but it wasn’t the time or place for that unfortunately. Hunt went great I killed my first mule deer a nice older 4x4 respectable for the area,the other 4 in camp tagged out one other nice 3 point a smaller 4 and two little guys.
