Thanks to Just Flight for sending me over a copy of their brand-new PA-38 Tomahawk!
Renowned for its unconventional stall and spin characteristics the aircraft was given the unflattering nickname of “traumahawk” but the aircraft remains a popular trainer and touring aircraft.
I’ve never flown the PA38 having completed my PPL on the C150/152 and initial CPL Training on the PA28 so looking forward to exploring with you all the features the aircraft has.
Today we’re departing from my home airfield, Fenland (EGCL) on a Local VFR flight to the North Norfolk coast, across The Wash for a touch and go in Skegness (EGNI) before returning to Fenland.

A trip down memory lane for you, and also for me. It reminded me of my PPL days, and of my childhood. I grew up near Melton Mowbray and we holidayed in Skegness, Sutton-on-Sea, Mablethorpe etc many times.

Great video, I have a PPL & usually fly a Cessna 172. Not massively into airliners but do enjoy my VFR flying so thanks.

Unfortunatly missed this live, I taught at Boston Grammar School, Often visited Wainfleet and Holbeach firing ranges to observe rocket and bomb drops in my RAF career, I was stationed at RAF Conningsby, so this was a real tour of my past life! Now live in Stamford close by. I wonder how many of your USA watchers don't realise so many of their place names originated in this part of the UK. Oh New York is just down the road from Conningsby.

I remember you mentioning this 🙂 I went to Spalding Grammar and I have family in Gedney (not far from the range). Often go to Stamford too! Haha I know the "New York" you are refencing as well FD2S

Just watching the stream now. My old ground in Lincs as a cop. Worked Market Deeping, Stamford and Bourne. Covered Spalding and Boston on many occasions. Strange to see it at 2k ft.

Reminds me of redhill aerodrome! Sadly lacking the L plate bikers doing the CBT in the car park! Enjoyed this video

Very nice video and plane ! You had to land into another field, for a coffe, and than return. ps. When you did your ppl ? 1946 ? I’m joking !! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂
