UPDATE: The menu "Custom Positioning" has been moved to the "Layout" menu and is now a drop-down menu titled "Width" > here you can chose "Inline (auto)" to make the space that the icon takes up small. Thank you for the helpful video!

It's a wonderful tutorial and just what I was looking for. Thanks a ton..! However, I'm facing a problem in Tab as well as in Mobile view. While editing with Elementor Pro, I can see and interact with the 'Back to Top' button designed by me. But while in preview mode, it just disappears. For Desktop, it's working fine. What could possibly have gone wrong? Please help.

Once you set it to fixed, keep changing the offset X and Y values you’ll start seeing it at some point.

Thank you, very nice! It would be nicer to add the CSS ID to the header, so you needn't paste it on every single site. But with the header it doesn't work. What a pity!

hello, I need help.. I made 3 websites with this feature.. on the first 2 it works perfectly. on the 3rd one it scrolls up just around 20px and it stops... i doesn't scroll up to the top. i did the exact thing for the other 2 websites and it works... what is wrong with the 3rd one? why this time it doesn't work? can you help me?

Instead of the spacer widget use the ID of the section itself. Also make sure the button appears after the section is properly scrolled[adjust the motion effects values].

Use of % is better to make it responsive in a proper way. You can this a part of your header template, footer or any theme builder template to make it a part of every page.

Hi. I placed the button in the footer (shared by all pages) and referenced to the-sticky- id header (shared by all pages). When clicking the button the page only scrolls up slowly a short distance. What am I doing wrongly? Thank you

Try the body element, the top most section of your of page then.

You can build this into your Elementor header/footer/ single page or post template which will make it appear everywhere.

@@toobstr hi Sorry for the late answer I didn't notice it. I hope it's still useful. Just take any element in your header and give it a ID. Just like in the video above. He gave its ID in the section you do that same in an Section but a Section of your header.

I was able to get it to work by adding it to the footer template. Probably would work in the header too.

It can also be a part of your single page/post template. Either way you can get it to work. You might also try to save this a global widget so that you can use in gutenberg as well, just try and see how it works.

Yes, If you want this on every page, build into single page/post/CPT template. Or use it on a per page basis. Hopefully that made it clear to you.

I tried this method just 2 months ago, and today I tried to do again and realised my 'custom positioning' option has been missing, my whole elementor UI has been updated a little. anyone else having this problem?

It won’t. Some of the features shown require pro version but it can be achievable with the free version.

You can put this code in customiser area of your theme: body { scroll-behavior: smooth; } But above code works in some of the browsers, so you need to add script to your website as shown here www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_smooth_scroll.asp
