I am passionate about our history and the preservation of heritage. It is vital that detectorists comply with all laws including Heritage Act 2017 that protects historical cultural heritage sites and artefacts. In Victoria it is an offence to disturb historical archaeological sites or remove artefacts from sites. Make sure you understand all applicable laws before commencing detecting activities.

G'day Luke, don't be surprised if you end up dragging a trailer out there to collect all the rubbish as well, I have the feeling it's on the cards, and you will probably be there for longer than you expected. I've also noticed my membership star has disappeared, It may have something to do with a change of my bank card, I'm not sure how these things work! You may not be out there hunting coins and relics but its still great being out there with you just the same, Cheers Mate!

Hahah i reckon so to @wayne armstrong there is just so much out there to pick up and discard...just amazing! I didn't think it would turn into such a huge job either but still we are enjoying every day thankfully mate. I did notice you are missing your membership star to Wayne. G'day Luke! It's ace seeing how across the countryside life and enterprise happens without city folk like us knowing much of what goes on, and especially for us interested how things happened long ago, stuff that happened which got everyone to where we are today. Those false peppercorns we see heaps at train stations in the suburbs and you can tell something of their age by when the stations and lines were opened, the line between Oakleigh to Dandenong in 1877 but older lines, Oakleigh (formerly Rosstown) to South Yarra 20 years earlier, first train line Station Pier to Flinder's Steeet, 1856. After going to the races or the footy those station toilets of bluestone and ceramic tiles stank as bad as the pubs that the crowds spewed out of, and at some speed, 6 'o clock swill, this still can be seen en masse every Melbourne Cup day, a bit like the gold rush must have been, a disorganised calamity where nearly everyone comes through in the end better mostly off, if not the worse for wear! Anyhoo, unsurprising the evolving work, since you've put in the efforts and deserve some desserts, now with some added responsibilities.
