Hi Maggie. Congratulations on the milestone with the baby. Since I also recently reported back to work, I can tell you it's a whole new world of adjusting. What has made things a little bit normal is hiring a second help who comes twice a week to do laundry and general cleaning. You will soon realize that if she is good with the baby she can't be very good on other things and that's OK. I hv allowed my nanny to exclusively take care of the baby and do other small things that she is capable of when baby falls asleep. We are now slowly thriving. Welcome to motherhood

The nanny balancing a large house and baby is tough. If you can you can get 2, one for the baby and another for cleaning the house and such. Makes life easier and you wont feel she is not taking care of the baby or the house. It can be quite difficult with nannies but we move.

What worked for ME when my baby was a newborn(now shez a big girl) was to get two househelps a live- in nanny who was concentrating only on baby and a daybug who was doing the cleaning and other housework. That gave me so much peace coz my house was always in order and baby was well cared for even when I'm not there.
