Mowing hight is a personal choice. I mow higher than most of my neighbors. I don't have the expensive sprinkler system some do and find keeping it higher helps hold the moisture in, keeping my lawn greener than some of the others without the water usage. We are in a major drought. If I have to mow twice a week, so be it.
