Bucket Cam!! Nice view on loading the haul truck. It’s really interesting how you plan moving dirt in so many stages like moving dirt to get it out of the way, moving dirt to make a ramp, moving dirt to take out the old pipe, moving dirt to pack around the new pipe, always being as efficient as possible, and the beautiful results don’t show all the planning that was needed. Your videos do. You are making me a big fan of that orange clay!

I have watched your vids for the last year, although I don't always comment. I'm always in awe with your judicious care taking of the equipment, and the TEAMWORK and SKILL you pull into any and all job sites! And I think your teaching techniques are the best. Kinda hard watching you load Barney and watch the skid steer at the same time, and that's because every bit of your videos are informative, by the time the skid had spread the dirt, you were there with another load. Time management quality.

Chris... I have lost track of the number of pieces of machinery that has been used on this job... Then wham. A mini with a roller attachment... Please, please consider doing a time lapse of this job! We see 30 minute clips which barely adds up to any real time... How many hours do you have into this job... Not just you, but all the man hours put in by the people that have put their hands in this work!!! How much earth has been moved for this project? I have so many questions!!! Whenever Chris jumps into another machine, it reminds me of the Terminator movies. You see his brain run through 6-8 different gear/control patterns like Arnie with the Harley or the semi. That is one big overflow assembly & a lot of work installing it (properly)! With what you've done with the shoreline, the head section & now the overflow, you're getting closer to the end. Not there yet & that's good because that means 2-3 more videos, yeah!

Wow Chris: 6 machines on the job! Good thing it's not a union job, here you would need at least 3 operators.
@tomrogers94672 жыл бұрын
And a Safety Man, and a Quality Inspector, and a Site Supervisor, the requisite three or four “Official Shovel Leaners” and a Paid Duty Cop to direct the concrete mixer in from the road. It’s the unions that have out-priced any production competitiveness in North America!
@paulnelson99072 жыл бұрын
@@tomrogers9467 I would agree for the most part, especially in the city I come from we'll call it Cook C####y, operator not including benefits is at $51.25 per hour, benefit package is another $44.00 per hour, since the site had less than 10 people on site at any one time no on site supervision or safety person was needed, and traffic control for the one delivery could be handled by the operators! Now then setting of the pipe would have to be done by union labor and not by operators. Since Chris cut out the site wide enough for the pipe no trench boxes where needed and no real safety program was needed to be submitted. EPA would have to been involved with the release of water from the pond and a water quality test would be needed and permits from the Corp. of Engineers. Desilting of the water would be needed and additional monies spent for silt fence and erosion control around the dump site would be needed.
