Thanks Fred for another comprehensive review! I have an additional note: The 120 MO was designed for use on not only the Zealot series but the Hammer and SledgeHammer as well. The Hammer is a 2 in 1 eboard capable of running smaller urethane wheels as well as the stock full size pneumatics. The Hammer’s 10 mm axle required standard urethane wheels to use the sub-optimal 62900 bearings. Those are known for their lack of side load strength. However, a stronger bearing required a larger OD (outer diameter). Thus the 120 MO was created for a larger non-standard bearing, preventing standard 608 bearings from use on the Zealot’s 8 mm axles. Together with the proprietary Backfire pulley, this new wheel, bearing and pulley combo functions only on Backfire boards. On the plus side, I can recommend the 120 MO wheels, and stop telling everyone that 6" pneumatics will wheelbite a Zealot deck...

Got these wheels for my zealot x and they're the wheels I use the most often, but that's mainly because I end up riding at might a lot and these wheels don't give af about obstacles. That being said, they're not the best wheels either. They're similar in comfort to the v1 105s imo and cut down on range a lot, but they do admittedly feel nimbler than mad wheels. Sick vid Fred

Too bad on the bearing ID since it seems I couldn't use these on my Titan X. I enjoy the 120mm CW, so I would've loved to have tried these! I wonder if there's an adaptor or a bearing with the proper OD and ID to fit the more std shaft size?

I’m sure you could use these wheels for other boards, but you would just have to remove the bearing inside the pulley and replace it with one that is the correct size or your board

You probably could use after market bearings with the pulleys, just not recognized skate wheel bearings. You probably will have to by say SKF bearings that weren't made for skating but for some other machine application.

I was skeptical watching the b roll but after watching more these seem like a fun pair of wheels especially if you put them on the Zealot X. I wonder how much more speed you would get. But when I use my brain and think about the larger pulley then maybe it wont be that much.

It isn't much. Because of the pulley you're getting slightly less speed than mad v2s. I maxed out at 30.2 mph with these and 32.5 mph with the v2s.

Hi, thanks for the video and I have questions. Does Zealot OG means the original? i mean the first one before Zealot S. Secondly, if the OG means the first gen zealot, does it work well? I asked to Backfire team about using MO wheels on my Zealot, they answered that they don't recommend it because the remote can't change the gear ratio for MO wheels. I was always wondering if it's important to match the size of the wheels with the remote setting. Lastly, why does the size of the wheels affect the range?

yes OG is before the zealot S. yes it works very well. its my 3rd one and i love it. they r right about the remote not reading a accurate read out, but also remember, the OG zealot is from 2019-2020. its very outdated. so its not meant for long range and high performance. so bigger wheels require more energy to to turn the wheels. more weight , and the material has more friction causing to take away range as well. i rock the orangatang 85mm blue caguamas on my zealot all day.

zero idea as to why backfire would choose to lock these to their own boards. this isn’t an apple situation where they can effectively create their own ecosystem, people just won’t buy the wheels rather than buying a new board to use the wheels.

Lol. who cares about built in spacers or help? Measure the OD of bearing it came with, then order online. They made it w a bigger bearing to have the option to work w bigger axles. My bet is its a standard spacer size, not that difficult. The pulley is not that big of a deal either. You can probably yank out the bearing to make it work w other setups. Learn to improvise more. Also, what is the point of acceleration test, or brake test? I guess its just something you reviewers do, makes no sense.

@@Mescalito71 who cares?? um i do as do many other riders.. after market bearings tend to have better quality, more free roll, a little better speed and more durable which means it will last longer. it aint rocket science.. u measure the OD and find out where are there aftermarket better bearings with built in speed rings and built in speed rings.. ill send you the set. some of us dont mind paying for better quality as well as no having to hassle with shaky rattling spacers and speed rings that drop and get lost. you might, but lots of us prefer better bearings.. so let me know when you find them... bigger axles are irrelevent cuz the inner diameter is the same size....so how would the outside diameter being larger help ? especially when its proprietary pullies only fit THOSE axles for backfire....”stardard spacers isnt difficult “.. no one said it was.. how exactly does yanking out the bearing out of the pully work with other setups? send me your full name and address, and ill send u the pullies and u make a video of how to make these pullies fit the standard axles everyone is used to,, put your money where your mouth is instead of telling us to “improvise more” ...whats the point of acceleration test and brake test? you dont know yet your acting like i need to learn to improvise more? I don't think you have cognition of what I'm saying. You can get "aftermarket" bearings that will fit. Bearings are bearings. Any better quality is marginal at best, and you do not feel or notice any difference. Built in spacers and washers.... hahaha Puss Products. Oh noooo, they're rattling and I'm dropping washers, holy shit that's funny. Point is there is a solution to make them work w other trucks etc. Instead of they blew it, it won't work on anything else. Maybe you don't have much experience, other than Esk8. You also don't understand what I meant by bigger axles. They are using a bigger OD bearing in these wheels, so that it can accomodate axles from 8 to 12mm. Ya know, different trucks....Regular OD skate bearings (22mm) only work for 8 and 10mm axle options. Maybe you will understand now. Your "bigger axles are irrelevent cuz the inner diameter is the same size..." comment shows you don't get it. Dramatic whining about the proprietary aspect of these wheels is wrong and not an issue. You can make it work, thats what I mean by improvise your approach. Instead of they blew it, it won't work on anything else. As far as bearing in wheel pulley. If you pull it out it will probably be able to work w other hangers, that don't have the tapered end or that have different widths. Acceleration tests and braking tests mean nothing. What is helpful about you showing it accelerating and braking, then say its good or bad? What visceral reference is there for anyone, other than your vague opinion? It means shit, and is funny that all you reviewers do it. Also odd af that you distribute your existence as "Us". Im talking to you, not your YT kiss ass chorus, or anyone else. You're the Casey Niestat wannabe, not me. I'm not interested in trying to be a Esk8 personality, reviewer, or YT star for free gear, or whatever you do these useless videos for. Not to mention every video I've seen you do is the exactly same ride. Carve around your streets, that ghey dancing shit, then the wonderful acceleration and braking tests. It's boring af....
