Yes, those are moose droppings. Oh, and the "Lost Creek Wilderness" was named for when the creek goes into the caves and into the ground and disappears for a while. I live pretty close to that area and love the trail. It's truly unique. They call the area up around Bison Peak the playground of the giants because of the huge rock and boulder formations.

Love the first of (hopefully) many Colorado episodes. You can tell when Robby and Thomas hike (e.g., Mount Katahdin), they push their own limit covering the distance while filming a quality video.

Just wanted to let you guys know...I've been watching your videos for the past few winters while I'm exercising inside. You inspired me to do some backpacking. The past 2 Christmases I've been using Christmas money to buy backpacking gear. Finally this weekend a friend and I hiked on the Buckeye Trail at Tappan lake and camped in the woods. It was 25 degrees that night, but we were both well-equipped and survived. We had a great time! Thanks for the inspiration gentlemen!

This hike was AMAZING. Having Robby and Thomas pushed to their limit (and persevering) in contrast to the myriad of beauty (might be my favorite too) that Robby emphasized throughout was gratifying. I commend the both of you. The only drawback was the absense of the full crew.

Congratulations gentlemen. Job well done. And Miss Sierra. Coming from the California northern Sierras. I understand your struggle and pain. You did an outstanding job. And videography was fantastic. 20 years ago when I was hiking, I always wanted to film my hikes. Who knew?? Now I’m 67/68, don’t know if I can go that far in one day now. I can still do 8. But I don’t get out as much as I’d like to because I work part time now. This is my first time watching you, and I’m so glad I came across your video. I look forward to more adventures and I will share with my hiking buddy. And when He was done, He said, “ It was good.”

Lost Creek Wilderness is my favorite. It doesn't have high peaks but a special beauty of its own. I mainly stayed on the Wigwam Trail as I couldn't cover the loop on just my days off. Plus my dog wouldn't swim and crossing the lakes the beavers created, so that was a problem. I loved being there again through you. Thanks for sharing this trip.

That was an amazing adventure! Adventure Archives never disappoint! I gotta say, I was worried about Robbie and altitude sickness. He should've stayed at a lower elevation for at least one night. I'm a flatlander, I live at 600 feet. Previous trips to Colorado and Wyoming made me realize how a big change in altitude affected you. It's no joke, especially if you're backpacking into a remote area.

I did the hike to Bison Peak like 10 years ago and it was no joke! Its just a steady incline the whole way up! The monoliths at the top were soooo cool though, their scale was deceiving, I am glad you explored them. Fun fact, this hike took so much longer than I thought it would so I missed work and got suspended lol. The experience was worth it though!

Lost Creek Wilderness is my favorite place on the whole planet. Well, that I've seen anyway as there is a whole lot of this planet I haven't seen. Your video really did it justice, at least as much as it is possible for a video to do it justice. Another great backpacking (or very long day hike) loop is to start at the Goose Creek trailhead and take Hankins Pass, Lake Park, a couple miles of the Brookside McCurdy, McCurdy Park and Goose Creek trails. The McCurdy Park Trail portion duplicates the hike in this video. It's a bit shorter than the north loop that you did, but goes through more truly spectacular terrain. It can be done in either direction. The clockwise direction I outlined puts the biggest climb at the start. The Lake Park trail is mostly on or close to the crest of the Tarryall Range, a bit lower elevation than the stretch you did. It's (IIRC) about 23 miles total, with lots of elevation change. The low point, near the Goose Creek Trailhead is about 8,000 feet, the highest point, along the Lake Park Trail is about 11,600 feet. Spectacular rock formations are visible throughout the loop, and Harmonica Arch is visible from the Goose Creek Trail near the trailhead.

Another hike I am doing in the future is the Barr Trail to Pikes peak summit. I will be spending a night at Barr camp and then going to the summit and then taking the shuttle down afterwards. I have also done the incline in Manitou springs back in 2017 at age 55. That was by far the hardest hike EVER! Over 2200 ft of elevation gain in about a mile. You hit areas at the top over 68% grade! But checked off my bucket list! Did that after hiking area around Colorado Springs (Garden of the Gods during 2 days). We went to the incline after hiking the 2nd day there.
