Join me for this Solo Overnight Backpacking Trip along the Meyers Beach Lake Shore Trail in the Apostle Islands National Lake Shore. Meyers Beach is predominantly known as a kayak destination with a plethora of sea caves and crevices, but it's just as beautiful from the trail. I give a tour of what is the only campsite on the mainland of Wisconsin in the Apostles, and show you everything along the way! The campsite requires a permit reserved in advance that costs $25, and parking costs $5/day.

Definitely recommend it sometime. Have to book the campsite well in advance as there wasn’t much availability when I looked.

Just found this John! Very well done!! So many things come to mind but don't want to jot it all down here. Do more of these. Even in the winter, especially if you do cross country skiing?? Hope to see you at Duluth Homegrown next year and talk pictures and videos again. Appreciate videos like this that take me places I can't go to now.

Thanks Ron good to hear from you again! Hoping to do more but I’m not exactly a winter camping kinda guy. Unless I get one of those hot tents! I haven’t shot music in too long so that would be great!

Amazing how different that place looks that time of year!? Especially the parking lot…I was the 3rd car there when I pulled up in a Sunday!? 😂 When was that…roughly? lol I totally have to stay at that site!

im glad you're doing this walk and taking video because those points are a big no thanks for me ! :O pretty but id never do it. made me squeamish just watching. this video was fantastic. great work! beautiful place!!

Thank you! Yeah I didn't get too close to the edges because those cliffs are pretty brittle out there. It's an awesome hike though!
