When I hike, I always say my dog hikes twice as much with all her running around, LOL, but that's nothing compared to a youtuber coming back to pick up the cameras. I love it, you earn it. Thanks for all your work. You were a huge help and inspiration when I first started.

Nobody ever tells you about that one biting horse fly that follows you buzzing and biting your ear on the AT for twenty miles straight. The the fly takes a break for twenty miles.. then comes right back for another twenty. ❤😢

It's very important that Outdoors influensers such as me and specially the popular Darwin, Wanderlust, Elina, Dan Becker, Justin, Craig ect.. actuall document the normal everyday outdoors too. Otherwise more hate will also grow against people recommending the great outdoors which is an arena for stress relief and mental healthy grow. But focusing to much on what is beautiful and only picking the camera then, needs to be controlled.

How many miles would you estimate you've added to hikes by turning around for your equipment? I love some of the B footage from your videos, but I know it's got to be a bear to always set up and "move on" to then come back and get them and walk back to where you edited the turn around. And do you edit on the tail or send the footage home to get edited? I want to hike The Discovery Trail in Washington State which is only about 130 miles. But since 2021 I've not been able to walk like I use to. I had a kidney stone and the recovery from that killed my stamina and then I developed degenerative disc disease in my lower back which makes it almost impossible to walk or stand for any length of time. I was walking 2 to 3 Miles a day and using your videos as inspiration and was really looking forward to being able to do that hike at the time it was going to be an estimated 2 1/2 week walk if I did it now it would probably take me closer to a month with my current health conditions of I was even able to complete 1/3 of it.
