Attending the 2023 Hammock Forum Winter Da Shack Hang in Central Wisconsin. With logging going through the property. This could be the last Shack Hang. With many memories of the people that I have met. The great friendships that bonded over the years. Are maybe saying good by for the last time.
Join us as we share our hammock set ups, hiking on the Ice age Trail and food cooked on the open fire. And the stories of old. This could be a end to an era!

Let us pray not - however, as you know, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years bring the changes, some day we will be at our real home. Thanks for sharing Marine. Blessings.😇

I like the idea of the locals decorating the trees along the ice age trail which stretched a thousand miles in the ice age. Great hammock set up Marine and runner. I am sure you were pleased to have reunion with good old friends of yours at the da shack hang. I love to see you personally doing a ski jump. But, personally wouldn't recommend you ever try to attempt that. Family and yourself come first. Good bless runner and the Marine, editing great video's as always ❤

You don't know how tempting it is to go down one of those jump. With 2 hip replacements. I don't think I would survive the bunny hill. Thank you Paul so much for watching. I really appreciate it.

That looked like a good time and some good food. It will be to bad if that is the last one. Runner has the hammock system for sure. Never be chilly in that one. Thanks for the video. Take care. Merry Christmas to you both and your families, Al

@BackpackingWithaHammock Sir, I can't put in to words how much just the offer means to me! I have a bunch of medical issues at the moment, so I'm not real positive about the length of happiness I have left in this world. I'm young compared to your previous mentioned family members. But, I've only seen my family less than 3 times in the past 20 years. So the meaning of this type of thing, with close friends and family can not be over stated. I truly, honestly, can not thank you enough for your invite,the word are hard to find, but good people are so hard to find nowadays, that's what our country was built upon. I'm old fashioned, treat others how you want to be treated, kind of upbringing. My Mother loves camping, brought me up camping and cub/boy scouts...etc. I'm truly BLESSED TO HAVE FOUND YOU AND YOUR GROUP. YOU HONESTLY DONT KNOW HOW MUCH YOU LIFT ME UP AND GIVE ME HOPE TO ONCE AGAIN GET BACK OUT THERE AND MEET YOU! I HOPE THIS GIVES YOU INSPIRATION TO KEEP HELPING OTHERS. YOU NEVER KNOW THE IMPACT YOU HAVE ON OTHERS! 💯

Timber is sold to Forest Products Companies. The trees are in the Managed Forest Lands Program which then has scheduled timber harvests to improve the quality of the forest by removing undesirable (injured, diseased, old, etc) trees. In exchange, we get a reduced tax assessment. "End of an era". I don't think so... Look forward to an April 2024 Gotta Finda Tree Hang. Going to be interesting. After a timber harvest the woods looks ugly for a while. Thats OK because it brings food / photosynthesis closer to ground level thus more available foods for the animals. T.

Boss when you talk 30 degrees I think warm holidays in Spain. 30 degrees celcious is a summer holiday. Degrees Fahrenheit is rearly used. Water freezes at 0c. Its easy to gauge temperature from that. When you guys talk +numbers I have to rethink. I'm not good at maths. Respect

I just noticed you don’t have any shorts! As in video shorts 😂 I think you’re so funny & I enjoy short clips even from old full videos. If you decide to edit some from longer videos please be sure to put the one where you whine about the puffy jacket! It’s my all time favorite!

What's the best backcountry section of the Ice Age trail to hike (from out of state)?
@AdventureswiththeMarine
@AdventureswiththeMarine 7 ай бұрын
It is still in the makings. There is still a lot of roads you will have to hike on. Almost a third of it, I was told. It may be less now. The coolest and most amazing part is around Devils Lake State Park. Just south of Wisconsin Dells. The most developed section is around Timm's Hill in Taylor County. Beautiful forest hiking. thank you Tzavitz for watching. Much appreciated!
