Backtesting Order Blocks on the XAUUSD for the timeframe of Dec 28th 2020 to Jan 11th 2021, using the 4H and 15M timeframes.
I reveal the full Order Block Strategy for the medium timeframe.
A really simple strategy with brilliant results, and leave a brilliant trade running at 44% ready for the next week.
XAUUSD (Gold) is a pair that I love to trade and I simply use this Order Block Strategy along with risk-level entries, so you're seeing it as I would do it.

Thank you! And spot on... lower timeframes there are a couple of extra entry criteria's as well as entry types, but I like to demonstrate on KZfaq at least that you can likely trade properly even if you work full time

Yes mate. Just whatever colours for bull/bear and I make a opposite colour for the inside bar to help me spot them

This is now my startegy, i do not care about lower TFs. Nice, slow paece, not that many chance to take a wrong entry. easy to follow. Could you backtest last two weeks from (21.02 to 4.03) It was a very trending market.

Hi Robin - yes, continuation entries more than anything... As long as there is a decent body break with Crypto, I always target the most recent OB. Always keep it simple! (I also move my stop loss to the base of the most recent OB as well)

Hi Julie, basically a staggered break to the upside followed by a break of the lowest point between the breaking candle and the previous high for the y pattern, and the complete opposite for the h pattern. So a move down would need a break of the upside, followed by a break of the low (Without breaking upwards again), and a move up would be a break of the low, followed by a break of the high (between the low and the breaking candle)

Spot on - Inside Bar - More specifically Inside Bar Ind/Alert indicator... Some of the indicators show incorrect inside bars - this one gets them spot on

On this though - the larger my account, the smaller my position sizes... it's a psychology thing I'm trying to overcome. Fear of loss etc. Seeing a hypnotist for it

@@TradeForexwithPaul totally understand, but once again, you're seeing your strategy work over and over again, ain't nun gon hurt if u risk 1% per trade, cuz you already see the how consistent your strat it, but maybe u trade on the lower tf on the live charts instead of this 15 and 4 min strat. i learnt a lot watching your vids and backtesting it, going pretty good so far

Yes - I find about 80% of the trades I take in trending directions win compared to around 30% counter trend. I just thinking of it as swimming upstream... you can do it, but it's hard!

Sure thing. I asked for that specific pair and time period become it was trading through those two weeks, I was backtesting week 1 and live trading second - it was really hard to catch an entry... Just want to see how it should be done ;) looking forward for the next video.
