On this episode of FTP Speed Shop We get the backup camera hooked up in the DuraMax but the image is backwards. It makes it almost impossible to hook up a trailer looking at the camera the is telling you to turn the wrong direction. It turns out that it is a super easy fix to flip the image around, just cut one wire.

Thanks for that. Cut the white one and added extra line so rejoined and cut the green and sorted the wrong way right 😂

Mines had a blue and a white wire, I cut the white first.. it took the lines away but was still reversed.. cut the blue and it reversed the right way. Tied the white back in to get the lines back now I’m 100% good

What about the image being upside down? Lines are still on the bottom, so not a position issue. Worked fine earlier today????

On mine it was the green wire for the flip and white for the lines. Back to front. But I am in Australia !

It could be true. Your toilet bowl water does spin backward.

Looks like what I need to try. But why did this need to be done on factory install? 2500hd 2016 just flipped image 2023.

I would bet that if it is 100% factory there is a setting that is messes up

I did this on mine, but i recently disconnected the battery and now it’s reversed… I guess I need to reconnect the wires for a moment and remove them again?

Hmm, that's kinda crazy. I have disconnected my battery a few times, and it always worked. Maybe just unplug the camera and plug it back in to start.

The first time I backed up, I thought I was drunk. It was so far off. I have no idea why it's backwards maybe it's rightwards in China.

I do not know. you should look at your wiring harness and see if it has those additional wires.

My car has an android device as the screen, and I eventually found a setting called reverse mirror on/off and when I turned it off it flipped it.

A lot of the cheaper head units don't have that option.

Try putting your headset in upside down.... haha don't do this. I'm not sure what the next step should be.

@@FullThrottlePerformanceMike probably cause it s a cheap backup cam from china. It’s weird though cause I had my buddy tap the camera on reverse and it flipped to the right orientation. Think there’s a wiring issue?

To whom this may concern: My camera wire doesn't have those 3 little wires , how do I reverse the image?? I'll have a 4 channel Mini MDVR soon and (I THINK) it has image reversing on it?

Some of the higher end units will have image reversing.

I couldn't tell you. I only have experience with this type of camera. I would guess that the factory camera can be adjusted in the settings. But if the camera has looped wires like this one. It might work.
