My husband was a fireman and he taught me to cut the bacon in half. Makes it easy to cook. Slower too like you said. Works great!

Love your French fry idea, here’s one I do sometimes, I had two leftover baked potatoes and I cut them into what we call tater logs, got my big red Dutch oven of grease hot and fried them, it didn’t take long, the outside was crispy crunchy and the inside was soft!! They were so good

🌞Welcome home, my Sunshine! Those are some mighty good looking sandwiches you made! The fries look amazing as well. So brown and crunchy. At my house when a pack of bacon was opened regardless of the number of pieces that was to be cooked, we cut the unopened package in half. This kept the bacon flat and also made room for the length of the bacon 🥓 in our skillet. Then we wrapped the halves that were left in Saran Wrap really well. The bacon was already cut for the next time. Don’t know if it would help you but it worked for us. 😊 It has been horribly hot and humid here but we finally got some rain last light. Today was much more comfortable. Even my AC in my room was not keeping it cool. But today was nice inside and out. I hope it cools off for y’all soon. This sounds just like meals we had in the summer. My Mama always kept her leftover oil in the refrigerator. If she cooked ff she poured that oil up and kept it in the frig. I sometimes season my ff like wingstop. Salt pepper garlic powder and sugar. Best fries ever!

I dearly love BLT sandwiches. My husband grows a big garden so when we have those lovely garden fresh tomatoes I eat BLT all summer long. I eat them with lots of mayo on toasted bread with bacon, tomato, sometimes avocado, cheese and onion lol. It's a huge sandwich but oh so delicious 😅❤

We usually go to Tybee Island Georgia for our anniversary every year..This year my husband had a heart attack and had to have a stent a week before or anniversary so after a week in the hospital and a month out of work .. We are slap broke but so very blessed that God let me keep him longer 😊

Hi Amy, I am sure that u know this already but, old grease can be revived by frying an onion in it first & then frying whatever u want to afterwards. My dad taught me that back in the day. :-) It works.

We make BLTs often and we put a slice of American cheese in our sandwich so good

Just had this the other day and we do tomatoes, lettuce, onion, and miracle whip.. we love the onion it is so good oh and bacon lol. Looks so good Mrs. Amy

I wrked at a fast food restaurant when I was a young woman, and we deep fried our bacon for BLTs it was delicious.

If I’m having just a bacon sandwich, I put my bacon on plain white bread NOT TOASTED, then put the top slice of bread on and mash it down ! Yum ! I do love a good BLT though ! Love you both ! ❤
