I am honest, the ending scene of the episode was the first scene where I genuinly squeaked as I wanted to cheer for them, but I kept quiet because I was not alone

Haha. That’s awesome. Yeah that last sequence was intense. I’m still not sure if they actually got on undetected or if the next episode will pick up with them being shot at in hyperspace.

5:05 is my favourite little musical interlude, Dr. Scalder's march very loosely resembles the imperial march in style

There were a couple moments this season where it felt like the Kiners were trying to subtly hint towards the beginnings of the Empire.

Nice analysis as always. A small correction: it is not CX-2's theme at the beginning but the Mount Tantiss theme. It is also used at the very end of the last episode of Season 1, when Nala Se arrives to the base. (The OST is incorrectly called "Lama Su"). We can also hear it at very beginning of the OST "The Doctor" when Hemloch arrives to Mount Tantiss, or in S03E10, when we first see the mount in the episode.

Thank you. If I said it was his theme, that was a mistake. I just meant that the synths that commonly represent CX-2 came in. When I hear that sound now, I think CX-2, not Tantiss. But obviously they are closely connected. Thank you for the correction!

I love your explanation of that music for when Echo arrives. I couldn't help but notice it and I have been wondering if I had missed some big theme that everyone else knew 😅 Also, that is not Bespin it is Bora Vio. They were there in season 1. This is my new favorite episode. I have not come up with nor seen anyone who has accurately predicted anything in this show haha. I have NO IDEA what is going to happen and I am really excited about it.

That’s the best part right now. Nobody knows what’s about to happen. That is so rare any more in Star Wars. Filoni is such a gift. Thank you for the correction. I forgot they were there before and all I could think was Bespin. Haha.

1:28 That's not Cloud City. It's the same disused Kaminoan facility from Season 1 episode 9 that Cad Bane chased Omega through.

I thought I heard a mix between the Vault/Chime Theme and the original Omega Confined Theme (not only main Omega Theme). The use of snippets of the main BB Theme in the vault also hints something else, namely that it's a very resourceful young *soldier* Hemlock was stupid enough to put in the Vault; she's a team member in her own right now, and *we* should trust in her as well. Also, I liked the way strings are interfering with/ "fighting" against the augmented variation on the main BB Theme, much the same way that TBB is fighting with *time* to latch on to the science vessel at exactly the right moment. Third, dr Scalder's rapid walk toward the Vault - with Omega facing detection - has some sharp strokes of strings slightly reminescent of *a certain march* ...

Man the music in this episode was on point. Specially during the final sequence, I think all of us were at the edge of our seats.

I certainly was. That was such a fast sequence. I definitely think it’s underrated how well executed that was. And Hunter was just not having it. I’m worried because he clearly doesn’t care about his or his team’s safety any more if it means getting Omega.

@jungleblazers1249 sort of. The same track is on a jukebox. But it’s mostly other weird electronic music. I’m slowly compiling a playlist of those. Diegetic music doesn’t play the same role in this one. Do you hear their music in season 3 of Mando?
