"Bad Company" is a song by the hard rock band Bad Company. It was released as the third single from their debut album Bad Company in 1974, although it did not chart (in America). Co-written by the group's lead singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, the song's meaning comes from a book on Victorian morals.

front row at the assembly hall in 1979 at university of Illinois. they started the concert with this song. there was a stool. he came out sat on it. then a motorized organ came out in front of him. he started playing then each member came out and and that's why they call me bad company... they started rocking through all of their hits. great concert.

@@scottsuga3362 I'd like to agree with you, I'm a Hagar fan myself. Nobody parties like Sammy when he performs. His concerts are the best. But check out a self titled album by 'The Law'. This is some of Rogers best stuff. I'd rate the album a one hit masterpiece. You might rethink that just a bit.

Paul Rodgers...that voice is like fine wine. This song must feel like sand paper on his throat, he's sang it so many times. He sings it like it's the proudest moment of his life. Every time. The band is outstanding. LOVE Bad Co!! Always have! Burning sky stayed on my turn table for at least a year. No point taking it off!!! The sky...is 🔥...I believe my soul's on fiyah. In my opinion Paul Rodgers was and is the best rock singer ever. Lou Gramm is right up there with him as well as Robert Plant, Ronnie Van Zant, and Sammy Hagar. Of course all this is just my opinion

Whenever the topic of "rock royalty" comes up, Paul Rodgers is always towards the top of my list. The list is long and distinguished, but he is iconic, has made an impact over such a long period of time and across such a wide space, with so many musicians and his voice has held up reeeeeally well. RIP Dusty.

There's a live video on KZfaq of this from 1974 and i swear this is as good if not better,46 years time lapse and the genius of rock is still a genius, only one other singer i know has maintained this level of brilliance over such a long period and that is Ann Wilson of heart.

Say it with me people, Mick Ralphs. Nobody ever includes Mick on a GOAT list. He’s on mine. Mick Ralphs, kinda rolls right off ur tongue like a McDonalds meal after a night of heavy drinking. But his solo’s are some of the greatest melodies that fit beautifully within the rhythm. As great as Page, Hendrix and he’s still rock’in.

I got the "Bad Company" LP when it came out (still have it) my freshman year in college and we listened to it a lot. Just last week I listened to it driving. Listening to an album for 47 years is a good indicator it is good and that it passed the test of time. In addition to Bad Company I also still listen to Free because I love Mr. Rodgers voice.

This is the kind of straight forward rock n roll song that requires volume with some serious punch from some big ass speakers ! This is an excellent live rendition, but nothing beats the original album. The guitar just growls, the drums drive and the bass is magic... plus the piano and The Voice... none better.
