Yelling at others for every mistake only makes it harder for them to try to do better because they'll just be afraid they'll get treated badly if they mess up, no matter how little, harmless, or inevitable the mess-up is in the first place.

My dad raised me harshly with discipline, I nearly became a terrible person because of him. I promise myself I would be a good calming father to my kid who needs help. Kids gets learned by their parents’ behaviours. Yelling doesn’t make them good kids, it makes kids become bullies. Calm, respect and love makes kids become good. Dhar Mann rules!

My parents bullied me when I was a kid, my dad beat the heck outta me at the most little things like not putting an object in place! My mom really used to yell at me because of my grades. Because of them I had a terrific personality and no one liked to talk to me in school and even my relatives, I’m so happy I left their house back in 2017, now I live in my own apartment, and they were never ever hard on their daughters, no matter what grades they got, they always said that they love them more than anyone or anything!

I was so blessed to have parents that encouraged me to truly be myself. If I was struggling they were always behind me 100%. Of course I got yelled at occasionally because nobody is perfect and sometimes anger and frustration get the better of us. However, not once did I ever feel unworthy or not good enough and always knew how much my parents loved and supported me.

This is actually very true. My parents are like the most laid back people, and I do believe that’s one of the reasons that contributes to my good grades in high school. I have always been an “A+ student”, while other kids in class have parents who are rlly hard on them, but they don’t seem to perform so well.

YES! That's the problem! Parents are hard on their kid for having bad grades, this just gives them more stress, and less time to study. This is what results in bad grades.

Now as a 19 year old and soon becoming a father to a kid, i can say that when i was a kid, my parents always cared about grades and never cared about my mental health, they always say stuff like "look at you, always getting c's and d's and look at your brother, he gets straight a's", everytime they say that, those words hits hard, and i can safely assume that when i become a father, i won't brag about my kid's grades, they are perfect for who they are, not the grades they get, now as a young adult, i can say that grades don't choose who you are, you choose who you are

Great moral story here! I agree with everything except for one thing. A child also learns by doing, so give them the tools to make it right and give them direction, but don’t do it for them. The kid spills orange juice, and the dad wipes it up. Now if he was a toddler, then I would understand that, but he is a big kid. The dad can encourage and watch and only assist if needed.

This is a very important message but people must remember that there is constructive "yelling" and pure abuse. Constructive is when a parents asks or tells a child sternly for the right and correct reason in a dignified manner while abuse is just mere fuel to bringing down your child's wellbeing and self esteem. There is a difference. Not all "yelling" is bad.
