Don't be discouraged, I'm only ok playing and I've been at it for 30+ years. At the same time, I don't consider myself a runner, but have run a couple ultra marathons, marathons...over 1000 miles of running...ok, I'm a runner damn it, but I'm not Stanley Jordan or any of the greats :( I still have fun and come up with a cool tune once in a while lol.

The guitar was out of tune but of course he should be playing guitar, why not? Are there two separate lists, one for people who can or should play guitar and one for people who can't or shouldn't. He's got the right way of playing this song, you can tell. He just needs to practice a little more.

Sure there is a learning curve and not everyone can play perfectly. But if you're gonna play in public dont be suprised when people mock when you clearly aren't ready to perform.

guitar definitely needs to be tuned. But that guy had the balls to get in front of people and play. That's more than I can say for most people. I bet he's a better guitarist because of it now.

As for the guitar needing tuning, more than likely he plays it out of tune. He has a perfectly tuned guitar but, his technique is so bad the freted notes are out of tune. All you noobs that don't play or suck don't understand this.

Ryan Farley no, the technique was very bad on top of that, and he frequently changes his tempo all over the place, I've seen worse sadly but this is very bad.

Why do people keep bringing up the tuning?! Tuning doesn't make your guitar buzz like a bee or cause you to play dead (muted) notes.. His FRETTING is what's fucking this up.

No, but sunken frets do. I have an old beater I paid $15 for that buzzes BAD on anything involving that fret.

shobonimaster Sounds too inconsistent to me to simply be the guitar. The play he unintentionally plays muted/dead notes by not fretting in time is another sign he's had less than maybe 2 or 3 years of practice. Every half competent guitar player remembers a time when they sounded like this.

The rest of this video is about an hour or two long and he gives an exceptional lesson on the physics of acoustic guitar "bracing" and how it affects resonance. This is probably the worst part of the video, but just goes to show how a clip can take things out of context to highlight their mistakes, thus conjuring preconcieved notions like "this guy should never play guitar." If thats true he will never get better, nor would he be able to give lectures that probably go way over average youtubers heads.

He's not so bad. He is rushing, the mistake many amateurs- including me- make. S-L-O-W D-O-W-N, practice the piece over and over, and G-R-A-D-U-A-L-L-Y increase speed as your accuracy builds. PRACTICE A LOT! I don't think it's nice or fair at all to take the guy down and say he should never play guitar. Even Clapton sounded bad and made a ton of mistakes when he was starting.

Now that’s bad advice. You should always play on tempo. Your finger strength will improve and it will sound better and ON RHYTHM. You don’t want to make good sounds and be off rhythm or tempo, which is much worst.

The problem is not that his guitar is out of tune, it’s just that his fingers are hitting other strings which is muffling the sound that is supposed to projected.

I bet if he practiced it more he could get it down perfectly. He just wasn’t holding the frets down hard enough at some points, and he was quite out of tune. But for the most part he seemed to know what he was doing. Not too bad, honestly.

This guy had a lot of problems and tuning was the least of them. His playing was full of a bunch of dead notes and buzzing. Can't believe he embarrassed himself like that, and then actually bowed afterwards as if he'd played wonderfully.

Why does the description say he shouldn't play? He did fine, it's just his guitar needs to be tuned or needs new strings, and he may need a little practice. I started playing a couple years ago on and off. I mess up a lot, does that mean i should put my guitar down and not play it again? Not gonna happen..

He has too aggressive of a touch which is probably the main reason he can’t keep it in tune. He’s plucking the crap outta that thing. Lol he just needs to slow way down and FOCUS. I’m thinking nerves got him and he just wanted to get it over with. 😂

He's not bad, the guitar is. The muted sounds are most likely string buzz. It's clearly out of tune and not setup correctly, doing it properly would solve most of the problems. Or it's some cheap crap from amazon in that case it belongs to garbage.

Its not out of tune!! He just isn't fluent on the barre chords!! Thats why you hear the muting and string muting. Maybe h eff needs tighter strings.

The guitar is more or less in tune. The bigger problem is that he's sloppy and not consistent at fingering his notes clearly over the fretboard. No, he should practice a lot more in private before making people applaud him for his crappy playing. He has the wrong way of playing this wonderful song, and it's insulting to Beatles fans everywhere

The dude is good, a little bit of practice goes along away, even I’m not that good but, not everyone can be perfect, cause at the end of the day everyone is different and unique in their own way
