I know a lot of you were probably blindsided by the next part showing up so soon after the first part. Like I said, I had a large majority of Bad Guys edited in advance to satisfy the people who've been more antsy about the waits between videos. I like how smart Eggman is. he's been fighting Sonic and Tails for YEARS. He knows when something doesn't add up.

That is one of the few things Starline doesn't know about Eggman: He actually knows his enemies quite too well.

@@ARTSONICFAN990 Like he said in the early comics, he COULD just carpet bomb Sonic, but that's not the point. He wants Sonic to KNOW he's been beaten. So he knows, more or less, what Sonic thinks like. Also, if he wasn't good at his "job", he wouldn't have lasted this long.

Starline’s downfall, was underestimating Eggman. He knows he can come off as a boisterous, silly, arrogant, and stubborn fool. But, real masterminds, know how to play the fool. Eggman also has years of experience over Starline. He can take a setback and get back at it. Starline put months of planning and preparation into his plot, and it was foiled by differing parties in minutes. If he weren’t so fixated on things, he’d be in the “here and now” to have gotten out of the way. Still, there’s a chance he could come back as an AI or clone. It’s not too far fetched in the Sonic universe. Still, I’d be content if he were just a hallucination haunting Surge. Because, even by the latest issue, they’re still hellbent on murdering Sonic and Eggman. They aren’t living for themselves, even if no one is holding the leash anymore.

@@shadowldragoThat’s the thing about their rivalry: Sonic and Eggman could easily kill the other at any time, but their values and ideals keep them from ending the “game” early and easy. It’s not the point. The point is a contest of wills and ideals. If someone just killed Sonic, Eggman would kill them, and destroy/ruin the world as collateral. Starline couldn’t understand that: that he couldn’t just upend the status qoe. Because the two are still playing their “game of ideals”.

Straight up genuine leadership right there. Identifies what's bothering him, gets his attention, then challenges him to rise above it and live up to his potential, while talking him up with the strong points of even a failed plan to get him to stop thinking of himself as merely "Lesser Eggman".

Idk, it could also be Zavok feeding Starline's Ambitions, and by extension, the very Flaws that make him fail... Throughout the Arc, Starline is trying to avoid falling for his Ego, but Zavok knows that. And he is way better at manipulating Starline than vice versa. Though, either way, it shows Zavok's skill and experience as a leader, tactician and "Villain" Makes me wish we'd see more of this side of the Zeti outside the comics...

Ian Flynn confirmed on his Bumblekast that Zavok was feeding Starline’s ego with his words, setting him up for his future failure. It would be a very bad idea to listen Zeti’s advice on self-improvement or anything, really.

I adore how, while it's obviously him trying to get in Starline's head, it's still left ambiguous how much he means it as genuine advice. It's dialogue that goes two ways in showing he's both a cunning manipulator, and a passionate warrior.

Starline really should have said like "merely touching then can provide a substantial boost, however to get proper use of our limited supply, I must prepare special devices to increase their longevity and potency." It lets him keep the 'control them with sabotage machines' aspect, but also is harder to disprove

Literally everything was perfect, but can we talk about how the credits fit the comic itself and tie everything together? I just love the dub voices of Dr Starline, Zavok & Dr Eggman they are amazing to listen to. I really enjoyed watching this video It makes the comics come to life with the dub voices and sound effects too. Fantastic work to everyone 👏 on the production voice dubbing and sound effects too. Wow! Was not expecting the next part so soon! The amount of effort the team puts into this series is more than worth the wait. My thanks to everyone for such an amazing job. I can only imagine the quality imposter syndrome is gonna be if/when you get to it. If you guys can make it to issue #50 and had to stop there, I would be more then satisfied.

I was surprised this was up so quickly when I haven't even released my reaction to Issue 1 yet (which will be out tomorrow at the time of this comment) and I just finished reacting to this one, and it will be out in a couple weeks.

How interesting in this take. Starline is going after the power cores that are direct callbacks from Sonic Heroes, Rough and Tumble has done a quick-thinking moment that even surprised him and Mimic and last, but not least, Zavok was able to catch on to his true motives since he heard him vent about Eggman’s mistreatment towards his former protégé. From there, he urged him to become better than him since he has the technology and the power to topple Robotnik overnight. Furthermore, it seems that their little “excursion” didn’t turn out as Starline thought it would because Eggman realized that something didn’t quite fit in this scenario like Sonic may be reckless and cocky but he wouldn’t trash his place just for the fun of it and Tails is too efficient to make him confused when dealing with him on the inside. Lastly, Starline now has the combined power of Sonic’s enhanced speed, Tails’ ability to fly and Knuckles’ immeasurable strength with his TriCore. An impressive new gadget and a massive upgrade from his Warp Topaz. I wonder if he’ll try to face them head on.

This is the exact tactics used during the clone wars in Star War against the droid armies. Capture vital weak points and have the very armies turn on the confederacy. It's why they have become far more chatty. If Starline knew better, he would've let the cache overflow and cause all sorts of defects to enter these factories.

Dang Zavok even knows Dr.Starline is trying to do Dr.Eggman ways or copy what he did instead of being his true self. He has so much potential and might able to surpass Dr.Eggman and he's using everyone. Dr.Eggman even knows that something is not right there's no way it could be possibly be Sonic and Tails because he knows how predictable they are and figure it out that is definitely not Sonic and Tails it must've been someone who break in.

Dr Starline is one of the best villains we've had in a long time and he doesn't just get beaten because sonic is automatically better. You can clearly see his flaws and weaknesses which lead to his own downfall.

Part of me think Starline could’ve/should’ve suggested Mimic turn into Shadow, to pin the blame on Team Dark. That way Eggman might’ve thought it was Rouge who tampered with the system at the Power Core Storage.

I think it's because of Eggman's fixation on Sonic that Starline didn't even bother to learn other Eggman's enemies besides Sonic and Tails?
