We mix copper sulfate with vaseline . Pack the hoof with it and wrap the hoof . Especially if you are worried about mud and manure getting in there.

Thanks for teaching people. I've been carrying for goats for about 10 years. Learned a lot on my own without a mentor, but glad to see this, in particular. My friend just lost his horse that had bad feet, but was super-duper old. My goats haven't had issues, thankfully, with their feet.

Thank you for awesome direction! One of my girls last Winter had the same thing And when I discovered it I will never forget the sick to my stomach feeling and fear for her! I just kept at it and I also put coloidal silver and tea tree oil on it and then kept her dry and she healed up. 🙏👍 People really need to know this so thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks for sharing, really helpful as my big boy has some pretty wonky hooves, and I’m dealing with something similar with him. It’s good to see some not perfect examples of feet!

My buck has an issue with one of his hooves. It is really hard to keep them dry this time of year around here. The iodine does seem to help.

Trim weekly, and trim back farther. The veins will move away, and shorten the hoof. Like fingers.

Can't you put a block on his hoof? and then stall him for the couple weeks?

What do you feed him there? Because mine always tend to eat their pellets up like in speed time !

I don’t feed pellets because it can be problematic to do so. I feed grass hay. How long have you been feeding pellets?

I met simillar problem here in india in monsoon season 1 of my client had 45/50 animals atleast 25 to 30 animals i had to do i went to trim hoofs i go so angry on the guy i had to spend whole day cleaning the hoofs dressing all of them washed it with hydrogen peroxide cleaned it with potasium and water bandaged it with zinc oxide now all the animals are thank GOD ok

I actually thought you were going to do an education only video, for small producers and homesteaders that are trying to learn, but nope. Everything you post anymore has an "ad" for joining your goat group. I understand that time is valuable, and you should be paid for it when applicable, but it's in EVERY video you post now. Of course it's your channel and you can do whatever moves you, and there are other channels that just teach without other agendas. I am just surprised that I misdiagnosed your motive.

I’d recommend browsing the internet it literally has any information you need. When you want someone to sit and do videos and guides to show you how to do all these specific things ofc you pay for it and they advertise it. How tf do you think people run and start businesses? LOL nothing in this world is free. You sound like you expect handouts from people who took the time learning themselves and spending the money to make the skills they have. Googles a step away.

Have you been to a movie, or paid for cable or satellite tv with commercials? Gone to a sporting event with corporate billboards and branding at the arena? The Offer of additional info and services isn’t bad. It’s one minute pitch at the very end of a free and educational video. It’s not in the middle of the content, and no core information is withheld from the video. Comments like this are why creators often just stop putting out free content. Quality filming and editing adds a lot of work to any task, and I really appreciate that this information is still out here free to help all goat owners.
