Bit optimistic here about what games will come to PlayStation. It's pretty clear Sony will get Deathloop and Ghostwire as per contractual obligations, and Microsoft will continue to support ESO and Fallout 76. But that's it. Also very optimistic about *competition*. Microsoft have the sort of money Sony can't compete with, even remotely, and now that Phil Spencer has shown how much money GamePass can bring in, you can be pretty sure the whole corporation is taking gaming seriously for once. That means Bethesda is likely to be only one of the huge publishers Microsoft buys in the next year or two, and with strong tumours Ubisoft's games will join GamePass just as EAs have.. that's just a different order of magnitude to what Sony can afford. The best way to think of it is to think of Sony like an old fashioned movie studio.. releasing movies to make box office. XBox on the other hand have pretty quickly become Gaming;'s Netflix.... You pay a subscription and have access to an entire Library for a month or year or whatever. Sony are still pre-Netflix, and they simply don't have the infrastructure - the pc base or the access to cloud streaming - Spencer has managed to leverage from Microsoft. That's the major difference now, and Sony fans in particular need to stop thinking of what Microsoft are doing in terms of "console wars". That was last generations battle. Also seeing the "I never liked Bethesda games anyways" a lot. Cool. Doesn't affect you then (but obviously it's mostly cope). All in all, it's a great move for Xbox and really one Sony would be better not to try compete with. They simply don't have the money, and it's likely that in a couple of years Microsoft will have close to there times the amount of first party studios Sony has to feed GamePass. That's the future, and Sony simply can't afford to keep up. Going forward Sony might be better focusing on perfecting the "Sony Experience", rather than competing with Microsoft, and producing two or three high quality games a year, picking up a promising studio or two beneath the radar But competing with GamePass or Microsoft itself? Not a chance. The power disparity is just too great. XBox bought Bethesda with less than one quarters profits, after all.

I would be switching to PS5 if they bought Bethesda as I mainly play RPGs. Glad I happened to be on the right side of that 500$ fence 😂.

Alot of PS gamers not seeing this huge deal as a bad thing however in the long run, it's pretty bad. Sure, the PS5 will have games but it will miss out on a huge chunk of upcoming titles in the future. Competition this time around is going to be ferious for next gen and won't be another runaway win for Sony like it was with the PS4. Besides, some of the PS exclusives games are going to PC because Sony realize what Microsoft been doing and wants to make more money than to satisfy just fanboys.

My Favorite game is The King Of Fighters (KOF) which is a PlayStation exclusive now. SNK the publisher of the game will not release it on the Xbox. They released KOF 14 on the PS4 and 3 years later they put the game on steam for PC. So Yea and people have been raving for the next game KOF 15 there in Spanish countries on KZfaq because I speak Spanish and I was born in Chile and also in English as well. SNK have released 9 Characters of the KOF 15 so far on KZfaq. However I bought my first console new from the shops 2 months after it came out and that was the original Xbox and I am an Xbox Fan much more than a PS Fan. I own Several consoles as well a Xbox 360 and a PS4 but not an Xbox One console. So unless Microsoft buys SNK I am still going to buy a PS5 just to play KOF 15. Thank You.

I think it is a bad thing. Making games exclusives makes it impossible for competition. Competition is to compete with the same games and see which one of them gets the most sales.

Microsoft had become too uncompetitive which is bad, as I believe PS needs the competition. When the 360 was lighting things up is when Sony started investing in all the studios we're enjoying now.
