I have thyroidproblem, which causes my periods to be more painful. I am now "leveling out" with thyroidpills and so I have stopped vomiting and collapsing, but it used to be common for me and also for classmates.

Certain religions support the idea that people whose age is still in single digits are adult enough for certain activities that they're not psychologically or emotionally developed enough for, regardless of what their bodies are doing. It's a sick world, A VERY SICK WORLD!

I asked my biology teacher about that one time in secondary school, out of curiousity and she told me your equipment is up and running but you need to grow several years older before you could actually use it. At age 10, the birth canal is too narrow to support giving birth and would end up, mostly likely killing the child and its mother which is why they tend to wait til the girl is older(ideally I'd say at least 18+ plus) to give the body time to grow bigger and space things out evenly inside. Just because your equipment is on, dosn't mean its ready to use yet.

How does being subjected to over 12 years of formal education in a classroom setting where you spend 6-8+ hours having to sit still and listen affect your "brain and psychosocial development"? I don't think we should be defining some absolute model of how humans develop and function based on less than 500 years of data and probably fewer than 100 years of modern medical science.

Well your grandma was likely raised at a particular time or in a particular way, so perhaps only certain joys were open to her, & she's afraid of you missing out. But you're not living her life & there are so many more choices & joys open to you. Plus maybe you will enjoy birth at some point, there's no reason you couldn't with your trans friend, do they realise this? Then again other people don't want children & don't find them a joy, they just don't talk about it as much because people shame you for not enjoying your children. But it's far better for you to work out if you want them first, rather than just having them because someone else liked it, if you don't realise you don't want them till after then you'll be stuck & not everyone learns to love their children.

This is really sad and frustrating to have a person like her in your life since... unless they have really harmed you, you tend to love your family. But also and I'm sorry if this sounds insensitive; I imagined "won't even let him in the house" like your bf would just be sitting out in the rain like a sad puppy in a cartoon 🤣

But some people’s do! You can go to the gynecologist, they can check every single thing, run all the tests, and find nothing wrong! Someone individuals genuinely just get the most evil periods, and doctors just prescribe them stronger pain killers. It’s weird and annoying but it’s true! -Sincerely someone who spent $2,500 on gynecological testing to find nothing wrong

@@thedoodleverseartYes, I personally went to doctor and got things checked, nothing was wrong and I just got prescribed painkillers and birth control pills. I think it's genetic, my mom and sister have the exact same issues

If the doctors genuinely can’t find something that could be causing the pain despite having tried everything, then that’s a very different circumstance from a flack who can’t even be bothered to consider the possibility that something COULD be wrong.

I'm 53 and finally period free. But you are so right about not really knowing what to expect from menopause beforehand, even with my best efforts to get some information. Especially how many years it takes to be sure you're really done with it and don't need contraceptives anymore - I heard quite some stories of women thinking they can't get pregnant anymore and it happened anyway. Or things like mood swings, getting all teary for minor reasons, which never happened to me when I was younger.
