Badger activity on the Ashby Canal near Snarestone Wharf there is now an urgent requirement for action to reduce the risk of a breach which would be a major incident considering the ecological, financial and reputational impact.
However, as Badgers are a protected species, there are specific challenges which will result in longer timescales than are acceptable considering the current risk of breach.
