Hello and welcome to Badger Workshop. I thought is was about time I made some coat hooks. I made a few types, some with shaker pegs and others with wire hooks. Links to tools and parts bellow.

I love watching builds like this. So many of the other KZfaqrs have turned it into full on production videos and tried to add gimmicks. Give me more of simple builds and watching someone do their best with what they have any day. Keep it up man.

Nice video. My favourite is the blue one. Just a thought but with a slight design change you could have made that piece symmetrical so the one cut would have made two end pieces, saving you a little time and waste wood.

When you are using smooth dowels, put them longways in a vice and run a tenon saw down to make a 1.5 mm slot along the length and then you won't have as much trouble getting them in the holes! Otherwise nice video Matt

You mentioned making some extras to sell. I've never had such an outlet and so haven't made as many things as I could have and those things I have made tend to find their way into piles, stacks, heaps, and mounds. Do you mind my asking where you sell?

Nice detailed project. How do you find the planer/thicknesser. Was looking at that model. But worried about it taking over the workshop. Whats the footprint like and would you recommend. I see screwfix sell a smaller model which might be more the size, but is probably not as good.

You really pushed the boat out with the Farrow and Ball paint! It's good stuff but it's bloody expensive! I have a coat hook, but I find it's far too much effort to hang up my coat, so they just end up strewn across the sofa!

Hi Matt, is the aesthetic the same for the through dowel joints and a plugged screw joint? Do you get your oak from a mainstream store or a local sawmill to you? Thanks

Hi Matt, your "flush cut" saw would cause less damage to the surface if it didn't have the spine on it. Can you remove the spine? It might just be an interference fit.
@Badgerworkshop
@Badgerworkshop 4 жыл бұрын
Its not a flush cut saw but i do need one
@stevebosun7410
@stevebosun7410 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I realise it's not actually a flush cut saw, but you appeared to be using it as one. I was only suggesting that you may be able to do less damage by removing the spine.
