This movie was absolutely beautiful. As an Indian woman, I enjoyed every bit of it. It was like a typical Bollywood movie but it had great gay representation for both males and females as well as cultural appreciation. It included different race groups as well which just added to the beauty of it all. I laughed through the whole movie and some end scenes actually had me tearing up. It captured what goes on in indian households perfectly. Im proud that Bollywood is finally introducing the lgbtq+ community to the world. Would definitely recommend to watch, it made me so proud.

Raj Kumar and Bhoomi's film is genuinely Badhaai ho for all the movie lovers

I just came across this movie by accident on Netflix. (I am not Indian. I am Canadian.) At first, I thought it was just one of those cheesy Bollywood movies, but I watched anyway because I wanted to have some light-hearted entertainment. But this movie is anything but. I was completely blown away by it. It's VERY smart. It's funny but touching at the same time. (I cried a little.) The acting was fantastic. It's not completely one-sided, i.e. in the end, everyone just embraces the homosexuality. That's not the case. There were a few family members who still, realistically, refused to accept it. But that's what's so great about this movie. While still not entirely realistic (e.g. the fake married couple was accepted by MOST of their respective family members), it still depicted the reality (i.e. a lot still had problem with them). I am so glad that I always enjoy subtitled foreign movies because if I do not, I would have missed this absolute gem. I hope this movie can reach a wider audience.

We need more movies like this. Not only to educate people about different social issues, but to spread knowledge too. Great job.

THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING. Everyone go watch it pls,you will not regret it. It was hilarious like I was dying of laughter in scenes and then all of a sudden I was crying at scenes too and how emotionally moving they were. This film actually left an impact and you will be moved to tears by it for real. Not one actor was bad in my opinion,they all made this film amazing and just spot on. Everything from the music to the comedy to the emotional scenes to the representation to the chemistry was literally perfect. I can’t even fault this film. The trailer actually doesn’t do it any justice to how great it is. This is one of the best films I’ve seen in ages and the best Bollywood movie representing the LGBTQ community by far. it deserves so so much love and I can guarantee it’ll be a classic film everyone cherishes still in years to come. You can see the effort and passion put it in from the cast,the directors,everyone involved in this. It’s literally perfect.

Wow,, the concept they choose about LGBT,,, really India needs more movies like this to understand people LGBT community more...

In India this is really revolutionary. Normal out of caste marriage is not accepted still. Very few are where parents give away their control, this would take atleast 2-3 generations. I am proud of movie makers but audiences even the young ones I have met are hypocrites. My own generations, if I would say I was sooooooo progressive nope that would be lie. I was in favour of love marriages across caste and religions but about this I had prejudices after some time i support it, but still may be that hesitation is still in me. Ivan accepting it, but most don't and just flat out go ballistic behind doors, that hypocrites made me to look myself look in mirror. I hope many can.

OMG I'm in love with the concept of this film, the fact that trailers portrays so many emotions and a dynamic not really shown or accepted by the majority of Indian audience makes me want to watch it even more, Bollywood is little by little proving why it's a worldwide thing! What a great film. Cleverly balancing the comedy and the emotional situations in an entertaining way. Great acting from the cast, plus great songs and underscore too. It just got everything right. I think time will show it to be an important film.
