Nishi is the closest Jaby has come to having an Indian on the show. All the other ladies who are Indian, who hv been on this show seems like they know less that what Jaby knows about India. Nishi relates to lot more of the indian things. Looking forward to seeing more of Nishi Munshi here.

Don't understand why Mom is pissed with Dad. She was equally responsible, why give him the dirty looks? She participated, with consent (I hope). It always surprises me how people have sex without protection and then act surprised when it bears 'fruit'!! I hope the message of the story is that sex is a very natural and basic human need and age has nothing to do with wanting it.

You know, there are times that women think that they have hit menopause, so their husbands convince them to it. And she is more pissed of at what she has to bear all the crap the recent world would say to her and her family for bearing a child at that age. Tbh this wasn't a taboo back in the days, than it is now. That frustration is of that being expelled out on her husband. There are real life cases like that and it has happened in my family. I have seen this situation in my family as a first person.

She is only fed up of all the things she has to hear from ppl. Also many men like to do it without protection cz apparently it feels better (dont know if that's really true). They either pull out in time or choose safer days. Yes the message is exactly that and actually it was not such a taboo in earlier times. In earlier times ppl used to have 10-15 children (many diseases were there and survival rates were low. In most cases half of them wouldn't survive very long) and also there was no protection. So probably women probably would get pregnant until menopause. This taboo is something that exists in current times since ppl started family planning.

Ayushmaan Khurana chooses some brilliant scripts. I love him for that. Love the entire cast and it's great to see Raghuvir Yadav, Neena Gupta (still gorgeous!), Sana from Dangal (such a talent!) and of course, the lady who plays Dadi (I forget her name). Worth waiting for, I guess.

There was an awesome director called Puttana Kanagal in Sandalwood (Kannada) Industry, he made movies back in 70s and 80s. He was way ahead of his times and had explored 'live in' relationship in edakallu guddadamele' and 'Odepus Compex' in Ranganayaki. Especially Ranganayaki is a classic and requited guts to make without knowing if the audience would accept it and would it do well commercially. It is a story of a son who falls in love with his own mother without knowing ofcourse..

This story is like so like a story my mom told me about when she was in college, the mom of a young proffessor got pregnant and the prof was teased so bad all the time and my mom felt so sorry for him and when I saw this trailer it totally reminded me of that story.

Good thing is that our film industry is moving beyond the stereotypes and it is proving commercially successful as well . Now an actor is not just into stunts and fighting villains but we have something more to look forward to, exploring different dimensions of the cinema

this issue was also raised in a 1981 telugu film named Saptapadi. In that movie it was a subplot, but the taboo at that time was stronger. (it's an amazing award winning movie. i suggest you watch it if you are into regional stuff)

I can totally understand ayushyaman's character's feeling in this movie cuz once I saw pregnancy test kit in my parents room and I freaked out thinking about another sibling no man man no I hesitantly but asked mom about if she's? and still have to put ear on door and confirm first if TV is on before knocking and ask them to open their door it's awkward

I feel Nishi Munshi or any other person of Indian origin having knowledge and experienced Indian culture is a must while watching/reacting to content from India. I watched the movie today.. It has been exceptionally shot, the acting of all the cast was on point and the whole movie was exceptionally done well... And I watched it with my dad and younger sister lol
