@shanthistella708 Think of it like a stick moving while touching the paper, it will make sound because you're grazing the paper. Now with a fountain pen almost the same thing except there is now ink flowing. 😊

My mother's "longhand" writing was stunning, even with the modern day ballpoint. She learned her "Palmer Method" technique while attending 3rd and 4th grade public school, rural area of eastern Kansas, during the early '20's.

What is amazing with all of these channels that I look at with calligraphy people don’t understand that it’s cursive in a very flamboyant style. absolutely elegant absolutely beautiful learn cursive, then go to calligraphy, if you’re not of that generation, who hasn’t learned cursive

I taught myself how to do calligraphy when I was like 13 and I loved it but I've never used a fountain pen before, usually I just use a chisel tip marker, but after seeing this vid I'm definitely gonna buy one now.

@@baga-calligraphynew subscriber!! now I know you're using a huge nib much larger than what I would want. may I ask what size nib is needed to where I can *begin* to get that calligraphy look or more of the "Personal Touch" where you see discrepancies of Thin and Thick lines to make it look unique & "old fashioned" but still a nib I can use for everyday at our firm for work papers. if that makes any sense? I wouldn't want a big calligraphy nib like you have for my office paperwork with a fine and extra fine I can't get the look of the thinner and thicker lines. think of John Hancock and the Declaration of Independence- that style of writing where you can tell it was handwritten and very unique with a quill/fountain pen. Would a medium nib do the trick or what comes after medium for a writing style where you can tell it was written with a fountain pen & it has character but still appropriate for the office? cheers!
