I like both but, to Dulce's point, I can't just eat a plain bagel with nothing on it like I could a croissant. Honestly I could eat a croissant straight out the oven. When in doubt, select the option that requires less enhancements to be delicious.

A croissant is French- it’s froofy and not going in the trenches, period. I also agree with josh that the consistency of a bagel is highly dependent on the type of bagel you get. I love a multigrain, because it’s got extra crunchies in it, but a cheddar bagel has the cheese melted right in, so it’s smoother. I feel like a croissant is one thing, and bagels can be many things.

Even if I wasn't French, I'd be team croissants (': ! They're absolutely delicious ! Even the smell of a croissant can brighten up your day ! Bagels had been hyped so much, I thought for sure I'd have a life changing culinary experience the first time I'd eat a bagel, but it was underwhelming to say the least... I think I've had 5 bagels in all of my life, and there's never been one day since where I've been craving more 😌. Croissants however ... And even more so pains au chocolat 😍❤️

You can freeze grocery store croissants and then lightly air fry them to perfection. That way they last. No more throwing out croissants

I'm 100% team bagel. A toasted sesame seed bagel with cream cheese in the middle is one of my go to breakfasts. Delicious, easy to make, affordable, and pairs so well with coffee. I'll take a croissant, but Josh was correct - bagels are superior.

The pulling the middle out of the bagel is probably done by people who don't know about pressing. When rhey bite the egg sandwich, the egg goes squeezing out the other side

I love you guys! I can't choose a side on this one. Bagels have better structural integrity but croissants are flaky and loaded with butter. It's a draw.

I'm wondering if Dulce has had a gluten test? Its an actual blood test. Can be a head or a gut intolerance that your body can only process so much gluten at a time. If any one gets a head ache or dizzy after a bagel or whatever it can be a thing.

I never even thought about that so you can actually bake whatever you want to put into the croissant while it's baking so I suppose when you take a bite out of that croissant say with chocolate in there you get a nice chocolatey kind of stretchy pull and it's nice and sweet. Yeah I didn't know that. that's interesting. I'm giving that one to croissants definitely

2 minutes in, this is my favorite episode so far. The Wonder bread stores! I need the ongoing Adventures of the bagelfaced killer now. Thanks y'all. Living in the south 15 years after growing up on long island, the water thing definitely makes a difference. Technically the curvature of the croissant is generally butter content related.

And another thing… NY has some of the best bread in the world. When I moved to ATL in the 90’s, my big sis had to warn me - Tiff, just so you know, their bread is NOT the same. So to recap, NY bread is the best with bagels at or near the top & croissants near the bottom.

Back in the day, we lived half mile from a real bagel shop in FL. But nothing beat it but when my Aunt would fly in from NY with NY bagels. Gotta' go with bagels.✌💜

😂😂😂A debate about different forms of bread should not logically involve this much laughter. I prefer croissants in general, but sweet bagels (e.g. cinnamon and sugar) are better than sweet croissants to me.

"Bagel-Skin Killer" just cracks me up. I like both, they are just different. I just have to buy them all fresh from the bakery because most of the prepacked versions are dreadful. I like a croissant made with a small bar of chocolate baked in the middle. I'm fond of bagel with cream cheese, cucumber, and lox. I also like a toasted cinnamon swirl bagel.

I’m with Josh 100%. One reason why bagels are superior is cuz you can get your bagel the way you want it & keep it moving. You can eat it on the way to work, on the subway pre-pandemic. They’re portable & versatile. A croissant?!? You can’t leave your table & you need a full table setting. Croissants are flaky, and that makes them messy. I’ve never had a croissant that wasn’t greasy. Greasy and flaky?!? You’ll look like someone raised by wolves if you show up anywhere after trying to travel with a croissant.

With the high content of refined grains and butter/oils, one can certainly enjoy cardiovascular disease in croissants. I limit myself to both but certainly avoid croissants.

I have to go croissants on this debate. Croissants make a much better sandwich. It always seems if you try to use a bagel for a sandwich all of the things in your sandwich come out the other side. With a bagel you can make a pizza, but you're going to eat that open, not like a sandwich. Also croissants are often better plain. If you get a croissant in France it is life-changing. America doesn't do croissants right, but even an American croissant makes a for a better situation than a bagel.

Bacon, egg & cheese on a toasted croissant is delicious! Eggs never seem to fit inside a bagel because they fall through the hole or the sides…it’s annoying!
