Bahamut is INSANE: Final Fantasy XVI Boss Fight...from my first playthrough of Final Fantasy 16. Enjoy my reaction to FFXVI, the newest video game in the FF series from Square Enix.

Prince Dion loses his mind and attacks the city, while Clive confronts his crazy mom.
Final Fantasy XVI on PS5 is a story about Dominants, starring Clive, gigchad Cid, Joshua, Benedikta and a very good doggo Torgal. Featuring summon monsters like Garuda, Ifrit, Phoenix, Ramuh, Bahamut, Odin and Shiva. Directed by Yoshi P, music by Masayoshi Soken, story written by Kazutoyo Maehiro, and console exclusive on the Playstation 5 LOL. I'm a streamer who voice acts games. There are 3 things that make the Bahamut encounter so captivating. 1. Dion’s character arc of being so loyal to Sanbreque only to snap from Ultima’s manipulations is a tragedy that just writes itself. Plus, “Ascension” makes everything about the encounter to a level of godhood that we haven’t seen before in Final Fantasy. 2. Annabella showing how horrible of a mother she truly was by only thinking she needs to keep bloodlines pure, only to be shown her two children were the eikons she wished for the whole time. Her betrayal amounted to two kingdom’s collapsing. I’m so glad she’s gone! 3. FUCKING IFRIT RISEN!!!!! BEST BROTHER FUSION FORM IN GAMING AND I WILL DIE ON THAT HILL!!! THE SYMBOLOGY OF THE FLOWER BATTLEFIELD, CONTROLLING BOTH IFRIT AND PHOENIX, THE ESCALATION OF THE FLARE ABILITIES ALL THE WAY TO ZETTAFLARE THAT WOULD PUT DONALD DUCK TO SHAME, FIGHTING IN FUCKING SPACE, AND- IFRIT, RISEN!!!! God this game is incredible!!

Olivier was real but was subsumed by Ultima along the way. and Game of Thrones was kingslayer. kin hits harder.

Bahamut certainly lives up to his "King of Dragons" moniker here, doesn't he? Shows how Bahamut is on another level entirely compared to Ifrit & Phoenix, who need to work together to actually defeat Bahamut. A 2-on-1 fight between Eikons and yet even having the numbers against him, Bahamut spends much of the battle holding a noticeable advantage over the two brothers. And yet, were the situation just a bit different, this fight wouldn't even have had to happen, as Dion was effectively on Clive & Joshua's side the entire time, and it was only Ultima screwing with his head and manipulating him into accidentally killing his own father that drove Dion over the edge and made him lose control. To me, that's what the "somber" portion of the music for the Bahamut battle is all about, it's as if the music itself is, in part, pleading with Dion to return to his senses right alongside Joshua (and us), as his adversaries aren't even his enemies, they're supposed to be his *allies* here and they are only fighting him to prevent him from hurting or killing innocent people.
