Today In Final Fantasy 16 we are facing off against Bahamut! He is a powerful dragon Eikon, this will be our full boss fight and reaction in Final Fantasy XVI. This is part of my full playthrough walkthrough of Final Fantasy XVI, Bahamut is one of the strongest summons in the Final Fantasy series. In this fight he does not disappoint at all!

Zettaflare woulda done more than punch a hole in the planet; it probably would have scorched the surface of the entire world, scouring all life; just complete annihilation. Zettaflare is the STRONGEST magic spell in SE's universe of games, beating Ultima in raw destructive power.

@kuranashibasara Haven't played it but I think it was also in Bravely Default. Though the fact that Bahamut has THAT individual as a rival in terms of magic power is as hilarious as it is terrifying.

@@vteccomplexZettaflare to my knowledge in the final fantasy universe has been used one previous time. And it was an event version of the bahamut boss fight that came along side a realm reborn in ff14.

Dion proves that with or without your Eikon powers (that Clive absorbs) it's not the loss of the eikon that makes you batshit crazy. It's the emotional damage sustained from an over power of emotion when they experience personal pain. Kupka and Benedicta were emotionally compromised when they went full prime. Dion had his eikon powers but lost his reasoning through the loss of his father. Hence he was able to control his prime at the end.

Honestly these boss fights were better than most games in general, they are insane. Some of the best boss fights Period.

That Bahamut bossfight sure was awesome. One of the coolest new abilities you get in that fight is the PANZER DRAGOON-like lock-on with Phoenix (pressing circle ⭕️), which is especially useful to get rid of those pesky Bahamut projectiles……. AND YOU HAVEN‘T USED IT ONCE!!! Professional gamer moment right there. 😂

How can a guy in the twitch chat say that the bahamut fight lost him when they went into space because it ain’t realistic 😭😭like damn have you played ANY final fantasy before they were never realistic and always went batshit insane with stuff like this If you came into final fantasy looking for realism you’re looking in the wrong place buddy, even when you look at the more grounded titles in the series like 7, or tactics or FFX they veere into a lot of supernatural larger than life stuff

If we go by Ifrit's lore as the original vessel of Ultima (FF16 god of creation) then Ifrit Risen could also be interpreted as god of *'destruction'* Meaning Clive has ascended to that high of a position than any of the previous FF protagonist series has, Gameplay wise, Ifrit Risen could easily dominate almost all characters from previous ff franchise (literally an immortal god of destruction), it's feats maybe equal or above to Shinryuu

I mean, he punched through a Zettaflare. That's gotta be some terrifying strength. Not mention that this is the scariest Bahamut that I've ever seen, easily could have destroyed the world if left uncheck

Late reply to this, but based on Ultimas dialogue during the final fight he isnt just the god of creation. He is God in general. As he talks about it being his duty to destroy what he created meaning he is also the god of destruction. Ifrit Risen is just a new God with equal levels of power to challenge him. The difference between the two is that Ultima had lost the people's faith and thus become weaker and this faith was placed in Clive (ifrit risen)

After beating Benedikta she died, after beating Hugo he died... After beating Dion he did not die. Why? Because plot armor, he was not evil and we still needed him. Honestly Bahamut used an insane amount of energy, plus he absorved the magic from the Mothercrystal just like Hugo did, the curse should have finished him off.

Who's to say that everyone has the same capacity to absorb the aether. If anything it's already implied that dominants have different capacities. Clive and Hugo seem to have much more capacity than Jill and Cid. If there was any plothole, it was probably Dion just floating in space but even the Eikon's themselves shouldn't be able to breath in space. I think the story and gameplay gains more than it loses with this oversight. The game definitely leans in to being over the top and I think that's to it's benefit.

Hugo just ate a huge chunk of crystals, Dion had the whole mother crystal inside him. You learn later that the mother crystals are absorbing and storing a bunch of energy so maybe it was like a big battery idk

Benedikta died because she was Hellfire'd by Ifrit point blank I think those who absorbed the crystal never used their OWN aether, more like they use the Crystal's reserve of it, when Drake's Fang is destroyed it was still attached to Titan's body, so when Clive sliced the crystal it also kills whatever Eikon it's currently supplying (because their own Aether is now one with the Crystal) While in Bahamut's case Dion had already been seperated from the crystal before Clive destroys it, so he's spared from disintegrating (And Bahamut IS one of the strongest Eikon in the franchise as well)

@@meta1ke i think nearly every Eikon have the same capability Jill and Cid seem "weak" because they're both have been using their powers for a long time (Jill has been abused by the Iron Kingdom since childhood, and Cid was a Lord Commander which means he's seen many battles) Also about Dion, they're probably fighting while still inside the Atmosphere or something idk lmao

@@JoyfulStyle but odin had been using his the same amount of time if not longer than cid and jill in the lore it shows how he took over waloed with the power of odin so i think it’s safe to assume he’s been using it a bit longer than they have
