Swapped out the 97cc engine off of the Baja racer minibike for a Hemi Predator 212. Added a Mikuni VM22 carburetor and a header pipe along the way.

That 22 is why under raided I took out full builds with a used 212 an a max clutch an a 22 from studs hardware they got wat ever you need

I just picked up one just like that...no motor but its ok. i also just finished a baja build cept for paint. good videos. Ill keep watching. Oh yeah, i got 10 now.lol

I've done predator and tillotson I bought a wildcat 223 to play around with they say you can really build them out time will tell

Nice swap! The only thing I would add is using flush cuts for the zip ties. That's a huge no no in professional motorsports. If someone reaches into the engine bay and slices their arm open, it's a bad day for you!

What size is the bit for cuting out the whole to mount the engine?

Is a mounting plate essential for the engine with this build? Will I be OK if I place my engine in holes,I drilled in the mounting plate without a mounting plate?

i can’t wait to do this to my doodle bug. i been debating what predator engine to buy and put on it . i seen a 420cc predator on one but the guy said it was a lot of work . i never heard of a 301cc predator on a mini bike but i’m sure there is videos . i seen a lot of 212cc and people claiming 60+ mph and saying theirs goes faster then the 420cc predator . What engine do you recommend to get more speed. i don’t care if you have to buy parts for the engine to make it fast . i just want something that’s gonna go fast and be enjoyable to ride.

Is the centrifugal clutch the one off the stock engine or aftermarket? I’m going to do the same thing to my doodle bug with a 212

It is an aftermarket 3/4 shaft clutch.

Is an inbore clutch the same as an outbore clutch just flipped around? Or is there a difference

What clutch and chain are you using? I just bought a clutch but my oem chain won’t fit on the clutch… are you using the oem sprocket as well??

I use BernzOmatic electrical rosin core solder. I get the cable really clean with some flux and get plenty of heat on it.

What the size of the bolt on the oil sensor

You can use a 7/16×20 or 7/16×14 tap for the oil sensor hole. 1/4×20 bolt for the governor arm hole and the press in shaft hole
