This is a simple and quick alternative to baked pasta. It’s a healthy and delicious meal for the whole family - for this version everything is premade so it’s fast and there’s minimal cleanup on a busy day.
What you need
Pre cooked meat (I use store bought rotisserie chicken) - any cooked meat will work
Broccoli (I use pre cut and prepped to speed things along) You can use any hearty vegetable. Cauliflower is great too!
Jar of pasta sauce (I look for lower calorie, low sugar and few additives)
Mozzarella Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
Top to taste with red pepper flakes
Put it all together, loosely cover with foil bake at 425°F for 20-25 minutes
That’s all there is to it! So simple and so delicious! And…you honesstly do no miss the pasta. It gives lasagna vibes, but quicker, fewer calories and more nutrtition thanks to the brocoli.
