And they keep raising the rent and adding additional fees. We are all one sickness or emergency away from being homeless. This is a greedy nightmare

It’s the 1% not the country..We should stop focusing on race divisions but on class divisions because these 1% have us working just to pay for their summer homes!!

I live somewhere where land lord dont come fix when is problem with the house and they charge us 1400 no heather it get very cold in this house when is cold in hot get very hot the ac are only windows ac but winter time seems u don't want to get up from bed cuz us cold or shower or get dress. I agree with u on that one they charge me 1400. I think we paying her off her house that she have or lives.

The people need to get together and boycott PG&E, i just paid 450 for keeping my ac on 78 degrees i’ve never paid that much in my 18 years living on my own…Everyone shouldn’t pay their bills until they make it affordable again. It’s almost an impossible task but we have to start somewhere..All these corporations having us work just to pay bills!!! I make a decent living as a trucker so i can’t imagine people who make less or are just entering the workforce to try and survive!! These times are insane!! Utilities, Gas, Groceries, Rent/Mortgages….We aren’t supposed to be living like this!!

Its hard to find an affordable one bedroom apartment these and especially with section 8 of course but what diesnt make any sense to me the place i live at now the landlord raised the rent twice in one year

I love charging my tenants really high rent, especially tenants with children because they are more desperate than tenants without children.

i don't know why anyone rents their place out anymore. With all the laws, awful tenants, price controls, cost of lawyers, insurance costs, etc. Why even bother. There is no money to be made here.

This is a lie 100%. I unfortunately have a lot of family members that make a shit ton of profit from multiple renters. These protections for renters and renting laws are weak and often never enforced in Bakersfield.

What if is not a compny they are they owne specially the landlord dont come fix thing when it need to be fix. No heather at the house it gets very cold. In cold weather we stroggle and we pay 1400 for rent of a house that dont have heather unit.

I always try and give my tenants a cheaper price than the overall Market. However, if rent control is implemented, I will charge absolute top-dollar to begin with. It will hurt those people, not help them.

@kevinm4157 I was looking for 3 bed room but I can't move because my husband grandma and I know for that fact the land load going rise the rent 1500 right now we paying 1400 with no heather in the house we get very cold when is winter. This house is built.

@@MarxistNurse the concept of “we have enough resources, the capitalists are hoarding them to drive up the price” is an old Marxist trope and lie. When the profit motive disappears so does the resource. If you look at old Lenin letters from the communist revolution he was begging farmers for more grain as everyone was starving. There was no grain because the farmers didn’t grow it. Millions starved to death.

I don't care I own my own house paid for Lock Stock & Barrel insurance and cable I mean insurance and taxes keep going up but it's still cheaper than rent

government should control tax raise, hoa raise, home owner insurance raise the landlord won't raise tenant rent. The landlord pay all those stuff for single family home total $7k or more per year.
