mate don't overlook hydration. Pre-loading with electrolytes before you go to the gym will boost your performance more than you could ever imagine. For some reason a lot of people that workout just don't think they need to drink a lot of water, but it has such a huge impact. Only reason I say this is because of the headache you mentioned at the start and that you hadn't had any water yet, just looking out for you. Go smash 700 bro :)

Man the moments before the first attempt gave me goosebumps. I know that exact feeling before an important lift. Adrenaline is rushing, the body is shaking and you feel so emotional you almost cry. Damn nothing beats that feeling... Only who lifts heavy, takes the risks that this involves and commits to it until the end can really understand.

From 220kg up wards the bar moved up and down before rising. I feel he needs to get the bar stationary before ascending. I appreciate leg drive and the sink and heave method. But using the bar whip and momentum is stealing from your power. I’d suggest trying the double pause for a few weeks. Pause on the chest, then pause 1” above the chest then finish the press.

280 moving like that is still more than insane. It's' exactly twice my max, lol, though I'm a 78kg guy, so I think I'm doing ok for my part. We have all had days where it just fights us. Next time, you will own 300 or more! It's a funny game, this. If you go for a big weight and hit it too easily, you think "F--k I should have gone for a little more". If you miss it, you think, "F--k I should have gone for a little less and I would have gotten that".

True to some extent but you best be hitting elite numbers at your own weight to even be commenting this. He is elite of elite even in the super heavyweight class. You can look up Square cube law in powerlifting as well basically the heavier you get the weaker you will likely be lb for lb
@Yoyoiooui9 ай бұрын
@@tylerspecht7553this is because super heavyweights don’t actually weigh 350-450 pound of muscle, fat doesn’t have the capability to apply force, only muscle if u had someone weighing 400 of fat free mass it would put up ungodly numbers pound for pound, and total. The heavier u get the more fat u attain, the fat is just dead weight and doesn’t contribute extra strength.
@tylerspecht75539 ай бұрын
@bikramdhaliwal2113 this is 100% true but also due to square cube law even being muscle only you are weaker the heavier you get. That's why guys who are in the 242 weight class put up damn near the same numbers as people in 308+ I would even go as far to say the 220lb weight class isn't that far off either
