Ir shocks me how Bakugo didn't get expelled after literal attempted murder towards Izuku.

The thing that has now pissed me off the most about Bakugo is his shallow apology. Never mind the fact that moments before the apology, he was mocking and belittling Izuku like always (who was at his lowest and exhausted), calling him an 'All Might wannabe' and it coming this late into the series, his apology felt like manipulation. He only focused on himself, making excuses for why he bullied Izuku but never once addressing how much he wronged Izuku. His aplogy glosses over just how much Bakugo's torment over the years affected Izuku on an emotional, physical, mental and psychological level and how it was the main facotor on Izuku's low self-worth and self-esteem issues he is still suffering from.

It's sad how much they tolerate this kind of behavior because I've seen the impact a bully does on the lives of people they bullied. If people say it's not that big of a deal because Deku grew up fine, not everyone is as strong-willed as Deku, and seeing this being tolerated might trigger the experience they had.

Endeavor was an adult who made up for his actions. It's season 6. Bakugo should freaking grow up already. Bullies aren't always bullies. He's 17 almost 18. I love endeavor and he's severely too hated.

Bakugo is the type of guy that grows to abuse his wife and children. He has no redeemable qualities and I have no gd idea why anyone finds him even remotely likable. I sware MHA fans are just trying to be edgy and diminish Bakugo as a absolutely terrible human, because of their dedication to this show. I despise how one dimensional the characters are in this anime with its desire to make the character tropes lawfull, and the only dimension of their personality. The creators have no understanding of how to eloquently articulate emotion, and how to display the nuances of the human character. Granted it is just an anime, but as someone that lives in Tokyo I promise it has far less to do with some random anime, and infinitely more to do with this cringe culture. Regardless all of the characters are poorly written, with Bakugo being unquestionably the worst. There are some aspects I really enjoy about this anime, and numerous I despise

I also find it hilarious that Shoto was raised isolated from people and with an abusive father in a broken home and is still less of a dick to people than Bakugo, who by all accounts grew up in a normal household with parents who seem to be well-off too (no, that gag of Bakugo's mom hitting him doesn't mean he's been abused because that's normal anime humor we have seen in countless series).

I did start to like Bakugo by the end of season 6, but he’s still one of my least favorite characters. I’ve never understood why people love him so much when he’s literally the embodiment of the “toxic male character”. I particularly love how you said that if Bakugo looked like Mineta everyone would hate him. Straight up facts. I also hate how people ship him with Deku. When Endeavor started to evolve in terms of his chracter development. I saw a horrible man start to develope as not a great man but a man who refuses to let the word " Horrible and Abusive " be his final definition . He's a flawed character who is desperately is trying to become the best he can be before he dies , to turn around the word Endeavor from a bad person to greater hero than his past . Bakugo couldnt even tie Endeavor , Tenya , Lemillion or Red Riots shoes . He gets so much shine from the show it irritates me because other characters, especially in class 1A gets overlooked and underdeveloped in my opinion . Uravity , Ingenium , Tokoyami and more could be explored yet instead are shoved back to excuse and not right the character of Bakugo . It annoys me becauss he is a bully who just is toleratable and even favored in the series and fandom . He is worshiped for the same behaviour Stain had detested .

Honestly the ONLY I felt that I could forgive Bakugou was AFTER Shigaraki beat the crap out of him in the Final arc, like it was some catharsis for me.

I recently found out for a online news article that bakugo was DESIGNED to be a CRUEL BULLY. But during the story, horikoshi CHANGED HIS MIND and gave bakugo redemption. That means, bakugo becoming nice is a RECON. The way bakugo acts in the beginning of the story, is how he was going to act the ENTIRE STORY. Until horikoshi changed his mind. So people who HATED bakugo for the way he acted in the story's beginning are correct to hate him. That personality bakugo started with is his ORIGINAL personality. Meaning people who defend bakugo for his personality in the beginning of the story are relying on a RECON that horikoshi made to bakugo.

Honestly Bakugou should be the kind of character I would ADORE! Cause I have always been a fan of the Sasuke- Lancer types but even after his Second fight with Deku and became “worthy rivals” he still pisses me off. Mostly from him BARELY getting any actual fights against Villains that aren’t in the movies, his constant yelling at Izuku and all his classmates, him throwing his accessory at Deku’s head causing him to Bleed which were supposed to find Funny. (This is Post rematch Deku but it’s still hard for me to like him as a character). Even his apology didn’t help me much on this. I’m just gonna admit Endeavor character arc is EVERYTHING that I wished Bakugou’s could’ve been like.

The manga is nearing its final chapters and wow ! Bakustan are making a wild claim about deku being sidelined in the final arc. Damm they are really desperately in denial about bakugou being sideline in the final arc . While bakugou land the final blow against AFO, it doesn't change the fact he got sidelined for more than half of the final arc.

Personally, While I do have anger issues, And I may act in an enraged state, But I would definitely Never tell people to jump off of buildings like how Bakugo did to Deku. I'm all for redemption arcs but I honestly don't like Bakugo as a person or as a character. As a person, he is annoying, toxic, and his behavior of constantly insulting and yelling at people should not be treated as comedy as Horikoshi has done in recent arcs. As a character, he doesn't have much going for him beyond being petty to Deku. For all the shit Endeavor gets, he also changed in the way he treated people. He used to be a dick to everyone, including his family, and now he is a lot calmer and more respectful. Bakugo doesn't change his attitude, which is still his main issue. His fandom is also the definition of gaslighting people. Bakugo is not all that from a writing perspective. I'd argue the only character who was written really well and didn't have his arc screwed up was All Might. And even then, that resolution against AFO was awful.

What always bothered me is that Class 1-A clearly had a promising cast of characters who I would have loved to see more of. Kirishima, Tsu, Ashido, Tokoyami, Sero, Kaminari, Jiro, ect. They're all likable and interesting. They seem like fun characters and promising heroes. But Bakugo's constant screaming and increasingly violent behavior took a large portion of the spotlight.

Honestly it’s kinda hilarious how an ABRIDGED series version of Bakugou was made more likable to some than Canon Bakugou. Ex. Joyride Entertainment

I'm reading the manga final arc and I really don't like how will it end. Like my previous comments, bakugou will going to have an unsatisfying ending. I believe the MHA will end with bakugou being the no. 1 hero of Japan while deku will be traveling around the world as a wondering hero. It may be weird but this can be interpreted as bakugou a famous star in Japan while deku is a famous star in the world.

Bakugou is out for more than 10 episodes but alas his fans will still claims bakugou beating AFO. The problem with bakugou in my opinion is irrelevance. Right after beating deku in their second match and becoming deku rival, I notice that his role went downhill. He never got any major villian fights or a solo arc. I feel like the author never intend to make bakugou the rival but was force to, i think bakugo was the EDITOR PET. Horikosho probably want to gave bakugoa a redemption arc but was screwed by his editor. My theory is that the editor suggest the idea of bakugou being the rival

I watch the 2nd match of bakugou vs shirigaki while it's better than the first, it's still pointless as bakugou never beats or weaken shirigaki. The sad and tragic scene is cleverly design to make sure his fans feel sad, not to piss them off . Judging from what I read in the manga, horikoshi really made bakugou irrelevant to the end.

I read the latest chapter, I think only 1 or 2 chapter left before MHA officially ends. Bakugou appears! Just to propel deku to afo. Which is disappointing, I would be more happy if bakugou and deku beats afo together but alas it never happen. Bakugou performance as a hero really sucks. Once the manga ends, people will re-read the manga or the anime and they will notice the problem with bakugou. I don't hate bakugou but I really don't like his status as a rival. Rivalry doesn't work well in MHA setting since heroes are judge by their accomplishment( ie beating heroes & saving lives) and a lot of bakugou haters point out his lack of villain fights. MHA will probably end in three ways; first is deku becoming the no.1 hero and bakugou the no.2 hero which is awkward in many ways. Second is deku becomes the Symbol of hope and bakugou becomes the no.1 hero which is worst. The Third theory is my favorite, bakugou is the no.1 hero while deku is wandering around the world.

Bakugo is a terrible ass character

I am bored, so i am here and yes, i am a bakugo fan. So let me put my bias perspective here. First of all let me clarify that i won't be excusing his behavior. Him being a jerk is basically why i like him. When i watch the show I don't want to be this saint ideal good person. What i want is entertainment and distraction from reality. There are several reasons why I think this character is well written. It's worth noting that to be a good character, you don't have to be a good person or have a complicated or sad backstory, as each character has a role to play. In the first season, and indeed throughout the entire show, his role was to be a foil to Izuku. I won’t go deep into this topic, but they have a lot of contrasts. He also distracts us from the main character's flaws with his obnoxious behavior, thereby making us feel more for Deku. However, I am a stale piece of bread and it didn’t affect me anyway. Bakugou is a very bright character. He is loud and has a distinct quirk that always catches your attention. Besides, explosions are pretty cool and fun (hello to all Minecraft fans). Plus I can relate to this character. And don’t say that you have never felt anger so strong that you wanted to throw it out and shout. Also, I’m sure everyone has at least once felt the desire to win some competition. Bakugou's desire to fulfill his dream is very strong, which is actually a positive quality despite his bad personality. I find this aspect of his character interesting because it is a trait that is truly inspiring and respectful, despite the fact that it would seem impossible to feel respect for such a bad person. Based on the above, we have a bright character whose character traits are actually quite realistic. I really enjoy watching him mature. His views and values change, gradually he becomes more aware of himself, BUT at the same time his basic essence does not change. He does NOT become a different person, but rather grows up. His explosiveness is his main essence; if you take that away, it will just be a different character. The author, in my opinion, managed to unobtrusively show how he has changed without losing his main highlights. Again, I don’t see the point in going deeper, but if someone doesn’t agree, I’m ready to discuss and explain my position in more detail. And yes, he is a much better hero than Deku, because Deku and Allmight most often rush into battle thoughtlessly. Yes, this is supposedly a good trait of the hero, but somewhat irrational. I’ll die but I’ll save you - this is their position and I find it stupid. In addition, this shows how much their personalities are not self-sufficient. They don't value their lives because they still consider themselves losers who put themselves below others. And this is another contrast between Deku and Bakugo that has been going on since the first season. As a conclusion, I would like to say that a well-made or poorly made character is all too subjective. Every man to his own taste. I will not judge you for having a different opinion and will be happy to discuss the topic of my favorite character. In the end, different points of view helps to look at the situation from different angles and see a more complete picture.

I feel like your mistaking likable with well written. Bakugou isn't likeable (at least at first) but he is well written. Him not being likable is an intentional character flaw not an issue in writing. And if you were to give Bakugou a tragic backstory it would make him more sympathetic and thus more likable. Witch completely gose against what the character was ment to be at the beginning of the story. And while it might seem like everyone in the fanbase loves him despite being intentionally written to be unlikeable the truth is most mha fans hated him for a long time and only started to like him after the second deku vs bakugou fight in s3 after we got more insight on his character. I would recommend Oceaniz video on bakugou if you want a better understanding of his character.

I think Bakugo is great! Yeah he might be a bit aggressive and rude but I love his small character development from a mean bully to a sort of toned down version of that bully and more empathetic. Even though he doesn’t show his kindness and is often rude, he still puts others before him and protects his friends like protecting Kyoka Jiro from one of Class B’s attacks during training. He’s also very hilarious and funny with his madness like when he *SPOILERS* and Todoroki were being interviewed after they got their provisional licenses and Bakugo was just being rude all the time with his answers and then he was cut out of the video or when he was trying to win the the kids’ hearts in Season 4 🤣. He also wants people to put more effort. Now I know he might over exaggerate like during the Sports Festival and he was angry because he won, he was angry because he wanted it to feel special and not like an easy win. He wants his opponents to give him a challenge and put all their strength. Of course, he’s still the jerk and rude person he is to basically everyone, especially Izuku/ Deku but I think he’s well written and he’s the most comedic
