Amen, shaved head beauties. I feel more confident than ever before. I cut off all my hair 3 months before my wedding and it was such a freeing experience. I cant even remember my life with hair. When I "feel" or :assume" someone is saying something about my lack of hair, I start saying to myself, they wish they could have the confidence to wear this style and I strut. I love how you gave that girl confidence about shaving her head because I had the same comments when I first shaved my head. Men would tell me I was "prettier" before and always asked me why I shaved my head. I then realized that none of that mattered. As long as I am happy and confident with myself that's all that matters! I met my boyfriend with a shaved head and he loves it! He supports me no matter what. Personally just shaved my head for the second time in 3 years... Trichotillomania, impulse control and OCD has been really bad for the past 4 years because of a traumatic event. I've gained a lot of weight too. It's hard to feel like I relate to myself as I am in this body.... But damn. I am so happy to have found this video. It's like I know these things but it helps to hear it from someone so far away living a different life. Everyone struggles with self image. I'm tired of vanity controlling me. I wanna be happy and healthy in my life. People can hate me all they want. It's not my business! My partner struggled to accept me shaving my hair and it made me feel down... But then I just did it and he loves it! He loves how much happier I seem too now that I'm free of the compulsive behavior. Hi honey 😁I totally agree. I get those looks alll the time too. But the ones that come up and say “it totally suits you, love it”, leaves more of an impression on me. The true admiration I see in their eyes makes me feel like some people get it, and that’s enough🥰! A good shape head really helps too.

YES!!! Everything you said is spot on!!!!! I honestly forget that not everyone is use to seeing a girl with a buzzed head so people stare. I always see people staring & I’m like hmm they must just think I’m pretty & maybe that is what they think (I get SO many compliments too) but they could also just be shocked to see a woman with such short hair. I notice from time to time mostly when I go into like super public places I don’t go often like the Strip (i live in Vegas). Most people who see me even once a month don’t stare anymore but random standers will walk by eyes wide & full on stare. It’s pretty funny to me now because how ignorant of them lol

The first time I shave my head was in 2016. I loved it. I then shaved my head a few more times over the four year period. I finally decided I want to keep it this way permanently. It was actually a very emotional decision.

I turned 68 last month, have lost 43 lbs in 2 yrs by myself, started hiking 3 months ago and just last wk found a bald patch behind my ear. we did blood tests, everything is healthy, no idea as to why I have alopecia. So I went to the hair salon and MATCHED THE PATCH by getting a buzz cut. No one has laughed at me yet, but if they do, they are the ones with a problem... I really love your attitude! btw, I've been a rebel since I was 12...

I've been ball now for quite sometime and its so freeing. When I cut my hair off is when I found my true self. It took awhile to realize it. But now I love the skin I'm in and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It literally makes not one iota of difference!” What you say is true though.
