I live in a remote area in Australia and the only barber in my small town, a gentleman in his 70's has been closed for weeks with the shutdowns so I'm going to have a crack at doing my own hair! You are seriously the BEST at this!!! I really liked this format, though because you do talk quite quickly, I get a little lost in the areas where I am weakest as I try to hear and absorb everything that you’re saying. Plus you do have a bit of an accent that makes me have to concentrate a little harder on what your saying. I’m Canadian so everyone has an accent to me 😁. Great cut. I am still waiting for my Wahl clipper guard 1 1/2 to arrive. In the mean time what do you suggest? So, a #1 open = a # 1 -1/2 guard "closed". What can I use to get the # 1-1/2 "open?"

Subbed! Thanks for your videos, really helpful! Btw, may I just ask if it's really necessary to use the .5 open & 1 closed or the 1 open & 1.5 closed? They are so close in measurement that maybe you can skip one or the other?

Yeah if you use a flick out motion when you fade you can totally skip those measurements. If your flick is not that good though you will have to go back and fix anything that didnt blend properly though so it depends. Whatever is more efficent for you.
