🇷🇺 Whist travelling the backwaters of Russia I heard about the Mordvoian people who speak a language called Moksha. And so began my journey to a village deep in Europe in search of someone who could teach me a few words.

@@mikeymike4402 Mikey Mike you don't need to shake your head, because it might be true. Life is different in post soviet countries, most of old people are living tough lifes. I am from Lithuania and my grandmother also have village like this where she spends her summers, my grandfather died 14 years ago, everytime I come to visit her and she feel lonely and bored, of course her health is not as good as this babushkas in the video, but she grows veggies in her garden only thing makes her happy and interesting right now. You can imagine how happy they felt to welcome someone from country like England, they probably never met a foreigner tourist in their village, so even you are living boring or not a boring life it would still make the day more interesting.

Steve do lve in the U.S.A.? If so, it would probably be normal for such a reaction, as it would in other less trusting parts of the world, where arms are abundant and where arrogance, anger and intollerance are the norm. Thank goodness that there are still many places on the globe where people are welcoming, proud of their traditions and culture, as well as opelny confident to inviting strangers to their homes to display their heritage and customs. I hope one day when things get better globally that you can travel and experience something similar, as there is nothing more humbling, and which demonstrates the true nature of mankind than entering a remote village, off the beaten track and being fed by the natives, shown their traditions and accepted like a family member, having never met the people before......it's priceless!!!

@lulua mahalo , I didn't miss the satire, but satire has truth in it. Of course they won't call the police on such a silly request, but Americans do love to call to the authorities, or have their guns ready to demonstrate how tough they are. Wheather its covardice or lack of excitment in life, I dont know. Could be both. I live in rural US and know people's reaction here.
