hey david is it common for doctors to tell you to stop oral minoxidil 2 weeks before a hair transplant?

It is not common. TOPICAL, yes, but oral, no.

Hi David, is it not true that studies have shown a prolonged use of Finasteride increases the risk of high grade prostate cancer?

That’s not true. It has been debunked. Finasteride actually lowers your risk of prostate cancer.

@GetLocklab thanks for confirming! My only other worry about starting finasteride is that it's recommended to stop using it when trying for a baby. Has this been debunked also, or is there still a concern of defects to the fetus if continued use?

At a minimum 3 months, but usually closer to 6 months.

Sorry I got another question. I did use oral minoxidil after my last HT, seems like it did wonders to me to boost the GT. I had to stop due to pills shortage in France. I started using it 2,5months ago, will it work a second time? have you had testimonials as such? Thank you very much @@GetLocklab

If finasteride doesn’t cause long term sides in some individuals then why is post finasteride community so large..Why are so many health care professionals taking about it?

If Joseph Smith didn’t really find golden tablets that are the word of God in his backyard then why are there so many Mormons?? I’m sure there are Mormon doctors as well that believe with all their might in that craziness. For the record, I’ve gotten lots of very bad medical advice from doctors. Surgeons also have extremely high rates of alcoholism and suicide.
