1. More details please, on release, on wrist movements, the feels/checkpoints of a good setup including the rest of the body, and no need to rush it. 2. Take a page from Rick Shiels book and just keep churning out swing tips with a hook we can all relate to "how to stop slicing", "course management" etc. And just do them again a year later with a better mic and post-production. It works and I'd watch it.

This is literally the most helpful video I've watched. I've tried explaining to an instructor for years how uncomfortable I always feel holding a club. I've never seen someone say rotate upper left arm all the way. As soon as I did it, I felt completely comfortable holding the club and swinging. Thanks for your dedication to fans.

How much did this mess up your handicap?
@chipandputt
@chipandputt Жыл бұрын
@@nicholastheos3022 it didn't ... although at first I was trying to go to the limits of the range of motion, which was super awkward. I dialed it back a bit, treated it more like a bit of error mitigation rather than a full end-stop limit like he described. Oddly enough, what the minor adjustment did was get my upper arms to get a bit more "connected" to my torso, which has cut my dispersion down significantly, especially with wedges .. down to a 5.8 index.

I think Hogan mentioned supinating Vs. pronating of the lead wrist in the downswing. Sam Snead called this blocking a hook ( I was standing next to him in Charlotte when he said it) advising against it to a young rookie who was having problems with his driver shots going wide right.

Bryson, from a guy who has been taking his golf swing seriously since 1975 I want to thank you for all the videos you have been posting. Not only have you been giving great information to all the golfers in the world who want to improve their swings (and yes, that includes me.), you have also been giving an outlet for the stress of worrying about our world where Covid has been harming so many people. Your videos are a tremendous help to people in many ways. Not only are they giving help to golfers to improve their swing, but also in way too keep people sane in a time of great crisis by just being able to view them in a safe environment, like their homes. It is beyond cathartic voyeurism, It actually brings hope for a day when we can use your teaching to improve our game when it if fully safe to do so. Thank you for your generosity with your videos and on a personal note, this old duffer is now a big fan of you.

Hey Bryson, I'd love to see a lesson on how you use your feet and the ground to put power into your swing. I've seen lessons on this before but none of them really explain it well. These two videos have been the most helpful golf instruction I’ve experienced in my life. Felt really weird holding a club and thinking about internal and external rotation of shoulders and hands but once I got comfortable with the setup it started working. Biggest swing thought for me on the downswing that worked is pushing my right palm forward and in front down the line it’s really helped me rotate my hips and chest correctly! Thanks so much for the swing insights brother!

bryson, my golf was always so inconsistent. some days i can shoot even par, other days i can shoot in the 80s. i adopted your single plane swing, got the fatter grips, and even got myself a SIK armlock putter. Within a year, i am playing CONSISTENT scratch golf and love playing golf more than ever. One thing I noticed today is for my driver (and pretty much all the clubs) the faster you pull back your backswing, the better and stronger your downswing and contact with the ball is. That's what I noticed anyway. Thanks for making me love playing golf again, you're the man!

Great explanation on the relative arm positions. I always thought I had a good grip, but now I know that it is no good if it is not locking in the right arms positions. After I watched your video I realised my left was neutral-internal and my right was internal-neutral. No matter what grip change I tried I could not eliminate my push fade. So, thanks very much for sharing this aspect of your golfing knowledge. Definitely interesting and far from boring. More pros should share things that they are working on. Not just in golf but in all sports. To my mind the modern media is too focussed on the theatre aspect of sports. You tube is great way to sidestep this dumbed down outlook. So thanks again for your generosity in using it to share these helpful technical details.

This was such an awesome video to have a PGA tour professional playing in the masters and breaking it down for people like me the way that you did just simply awesome. God bless and thank you so much.

Bryson is so awesome and so down to earth. For me as a newer golfer at 38 years old I feel like he could really help my game and iam already pretty good for a rookie I think. I also am extremely addicted to golf

That rotation of the arms at set up was so good...doing it that way makes the triangle feel so solid.

This was so concise, but exactly what I needed. I struggle with the right elbow in the downswing at times and having this simple thought far exceeds the driving the nail technique. Thanks so much B! I love the thought of this becoming a real series! Working with a Joe to Pro sort of idea, Adam into a single or low double-digit handicap would be impressive, but from a pro perspective rather than your typical certified coach. But let's be honest, not everyone can putt :). Even teaching shot shaping to him/trackman tourneys would be an educational watch after committing to better contact! Cheers!

Dude yeah, that feeling you mentioned to him, the one he never felt before makes a lot of sense. i tend to early extend a lot and most of my shots go to the moon and back down a only a few yards in front. will give this ago! thanks budie

wow! I've always have the tendency of hitting fat shots. Had no idea about the right hand extending way up front right at impact. I could tell my right hand was fully extended way too early. This is life changing for me.. wow! thank you so much Bryson!

Can’t wait until part 2 Bryson. I’ve taken on your action, irons and grips. Love the you tube content as you are now my coach. When you find the time, could you do a video on your swing for shots between 100 to 130 yards please.
