I'm gonna be honest, I was a bit skeptical that Larian were the ones making BG3 when it was first announced cause I thought it was potentially going to just be a skin of Divinity, but I couldn't be more happier with just how well the game is evolving and the sheer amount of love poured into every aspect of development. This series couldn't be in safer hands.

I can't believe the amount of work Larian devs have already done. Very interesting to see how this game is evolving. They seem to always double the amount every patch (and this is only part 1). Not to mention the voice acting, music, & marketing development. Who else would create an Illithid ice sculpture bust then have Jimmy decapitate it moments later? And invite Wolf on the panel? Completely nuts & worth the buzz.

You can tell these guys are having a blast making this game.

What I love about this game is they give you all Your D&D stats and stuff so if you really want to play your BG3 character in your D&D campaign they make it easy to actually do that

Hi Larian, I'm a big rpg fan since I was a kid, Baldurs gate was my first rpg and I was 9. So of course 20 years later i bought Baldur's Gate 3 and started playing the early access and it was awesome and promising. I started playing again at patch 7 and holy shit the improvements are amazing. I'm taking my time to appreciate every detail, and oh boy there are a lot. I don't see how you can do better to adapt the 5th Edition Can't wait to see the rest of your work. Thanks to you guys

Looks great! I think the cone of darkvision should have a bigger cone since you are often looking down from a different angle then the character you are controlling.

Thank you guys. I haven't been excited for any game in years. The amount of detail in every area of the demo is unbelievable. My wife and I are so excited for the rest of the game. We can't go 5 minutes of play without us saying "WOW they put SO much work into this". (hoping for split screen co-op 😉)

I can't wait to hear when this gets it's local split screen coop. Something that made Divinity more stellar than it already was. I think there's a significant untapped market of people who could get turned on to gaming because of games like this that wouldn't be otherwise. Theres a significant population of people now who are now fans of comics and fantasy stories who weren't before due to films like the marvel cinematic universe and shows like game of thrones. Videogames today tell similarly entertaining stories with cinematic effects, but exclude that said population of people due to the learning curve that comes from adapting to game controller schemes and reaction times. Baldurs Gate 3 is potentially a perfect solution to this issue due to being a turn based strategy game, which gives players time to learn the gaming controls and mechanics without the discouraging failure that often comes with most games. And it has the cinematic immersion that divinity didn't have. If it carries a split screen option as divinity did, it will provide the opportunity for gamers to walk the gameplay through with friends and family who wouldn't have had interest to play it otherwise, and also would provide for a terrific mutual immersive experience to share with close loved ones as well. A lot of games typically in the split screen market are starting to phase out splt screen options in favor of pursuing either an explicitly online or explicitly single player experience. It would be a sorely missed opportunity if this did the same 🤞

Was really praying for it to be finalized sometime this year, but that is okay :P. When I play, I make sure not to get too far to keep everything a surprise.

You are doing a really great job on this Larian Studio game. This game is getting crazier and crazier! The barbarians are really welcome, however they are a bit skinny, aren't they? I hope you can integrate muscles for him in the future. When we think of a Barbarian, we see Robert E. Howard's Conan, a really muscular hero. Thanks for what you do.

Watching this livestream I was wondering why they would go to so much trouble to have an elaborate set-up and costumes with moving tails and an ice sculpture and multiple camera angles... the attention to detail was amazing. Then realisation hit, this game has an amazing attention to detail because the people making it have an amazing attention to detail towards all thier work and want authenticity in everything they do. I'm so glad Larian are making this game, other developers might have cut corners to force a quick release 👍👍

new classes and qol improvements are great and all but I hope the story gets its turn to be focused soon

Haven't played the game, so don't know much about mechanics. But i thought about this idea that if you sleep/bind/grab someone, you can carry/drag them around, toss them on traps, or bait for enemies etc. Like toss a mind flayer, into a githyanki camp 😇 Tie up some minotaurs, put them in your backpack, for later use. The jumping bear, was hysterical though 😅

take all the time you need cause this game going be good and I love the new class so far and can't wait for this game to come out on pc and to the peoples who question if this game coming out on xbox and playstation, mostly likely they probably release this game a year or couple months later after this game release when divinity original sin 2 came out or it be awesome if come out on the same day

I played like 20 minutes back when it first launched and then decided I wanted a it to be fresh for when it properly comes out. So I have refrained from looking at updates as much as possible at story elements and other things but it sure is hard not to play it xD I am keeping an eye out for a reaction system change though cuz that was my main concern when I played it.

Would love to see this game allow for the inventory/map/character sheet to have a pop out feature so they could be displayed on a second monitor all the time through the game. Not sure if that's possible haha it would be cool though (maybe a secondary application that syncs with the game or something idk)
