Hi all! Today we have episode 2 of the Single Party Build series! Clerics won the vote in the last video so that's what we're doing today. With these builds I decided to focus on each of the four things Clerics can specialize in when it comes to builds: martial fighting, offensive casting, healing, and battlefield control. This party composition has the most potential for survivability I've seen on this channel yet!

I'm doing this with a friend and can confirm that it is the most fun RP we've ever had, while also being incredibly powerful. They are multiclassed though (lore/wizard, swords/rogue, lore/paladin, lore/warlock)

what about a historical based party? (e.g. half-naken spartan from 300, a roman legionnaire, mongol archer, egyptian warrior using sickles)

Paladin hunting down evil together. Also loved the Life Domain Cleric, feel like a Paladin of Illmater would be her protector, maybe eventually her lover. Kind of like Aylin with Isobel

War cleric/thief 8/4 is actually pretty good, you can use a bonus action to summon a spiritual weapon to give you sneak attack which you use with your main action and then you can use divine strike with your bonus action (twice using your reaction). Your affectively getting two sneak attacks per round

I have a Tempest Cleric (Shadowheart)in my 2 player coop game running polearm master and the Sentinel Halberd. She is a great front-line damage dealer, and can use her spells for some great big area damage.

Devotee's Mace would be a better fit for life imo! Gives even more healing (as if you didn't have enough), and getting the mace straight from your deity feels appropriate. I like the spell selection for each build though!

For the life domain cleric, you could use the quarterstaff that boosts the bless buff since you grant free bless with your heals.

I think if you do not multiclass tempest cleric feels very different from storm sorcerer. Think there are a lot of cool features with tempest that are not used if for example 10/2 sorc/cleric multiclass that makes the subclass very unique. But nonetheless a great video 🙂

War clerics get martial weapon proficiency, btw, so the war cleric build’s weapon can be switched out without weapon master or a race with weapon proficiency.

Divine strike from a cleric works like a sneak attack, it's actually technically twice per round that it works once from selecting it as an attack and second time as a reaction. It's kinda good on a nature cleric with polearm mastery + 1 level in monk + shalleighlah.

All rogues and warlocks are going to be the most edgelord builds and idc. I guess for classes that only have 3 sub classes, you can maybe do a melee and a ranged version for 1 of them or a subclass that focuses more on magical damage and another on physical.
