To be among the first to have experienced the beautiful and raw culture and island of Bali, must be seen as a marvellous experience. What a magical place it must have been in those early tourist years! And then that surfer! What a total baller.

like the book, the video gives me goosebumps. The mazing thing about Bali is its richness, the textures, the culture both traditional and modern. It is a wildly exciting destination with a life of its own, the Heaven and Hell of it, it gets under your skin in a way few other places can.

its called 'Magic' and 'hoodoo..' the place is riddled with Black Magic and hoodoo.. so many rituals and shit of course it is going to be a weird place you are walking on dead bodies in Bali as the land was never re-mediated properly..

load of things have changed, being Indonesian I'm so sad seeing poor cleanliness, i almost found out all off shore of the beaches down from kuta toward double six full of trashes floating and spread everywhere. The government urgently need to do something to maintain the cleanliness of environment surround and able to provide comfort for all local & international tourists or visitors.

I worked in Indonesia for ten years. Bali is still a beautiful island. Unfortunately, Bali to most westerners, even those who have been there consists of the Kuta-Seminyak strip which is definitely not the true Bali.
